This is the 8L version of the Instant Pot Duo Multicooker. Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Sauté Pan, Yogurt Maker, Steamer and Food Warmer, Brushed Stainless Steel

There was a $10 coupon that further reduced the price for me yesterday with Prime. Today I'm only seeing a $5 coupon.

As far as I can tell, this is the cheapest this model has been for some time.

Not the best price, The newer 9 in 1 model has been around $120-$170 in past, better off waiting for that

    previous 9 in 1 deals

Yeah, that one has sous-vide and temp control. Otherwise pretty similar specs (a few more programs, but they're easy enough to set manually). Think this one is a decent price for people who don't want to wait for the next Plus deal, especially if they don't need sous-vide or have a separate sous-vide cooker.

Agree I got the 5L at Xmas for $99 happy with it. I don’t use the presets nor do I sous-vide and the app is good for recipe timing

Plus delivery. Decent deal, especially in the east (delivery $30 to WA).

@doddles: Actually might not even be in stock, changed to add to Wishlist when I tried checking

Sous vide function on mine sucks. Doesnt keep a steady temp and takes forever to heat up. Everything else works great.

  • So how is this thing better than my $30 rice cooker?

    • +2

      To cook rice, it isn't.

To cook pulled pork/beef/lamb or make soup or stew or ribs it is.

    • How is your rice cooker better than my $1 bag of rice?

  • This was a good deal, bought it for $65 after $5 C&C

    • Only 5L though, not direct comparison

How's the 'Pressure cooker' function of these from you experience? We have traditional pressure cooker for high pressure beef/pork cooking, so just wanted to see if we can set pressure and it won't blow out droplets etc? thanks in advance

Not sure what you mean by "blow out droplets"?

In any case, I've used my Instant Pot Duo almost completely for pressure cooking on the "High" setting. Without any problems (I've had it about a year). The lid seals well and no steam or liquid escapes until you vent the pressure at the end of cooking, at which point steam obviously is vented (though you can also do a slow vent, which is almost imperceptible).

      Very happy with the results.

      • thanks for the review. Our previous pressure cooker, put steam and droplets of water everywhere.. so wanted to see if this one suffered from same fate
