Dont think a fan should cost this much even with misting function

    • Yep, that's what I said to wife when my other $19 kmart one does exactly the same, but she still insisted to buy this, no choice for me but to make her happy …

      • 'tis a good fan though. I'm a fan. Not sure the misting attachment is worth the extra money though. Never actually used mine.
For interest, there's a bit of discussion around this vs a similarly priced Vornado. Doesn't push quite as much air, but has more functions.

        • yeah same, that misting thing is useless to me, since fan will just stay indoor.

      • I bought a Lenoxx misting fan during winter for $88. Nearly impossible to find one at a decent price the summer before. Wasn’t making that mistake again.

Probably too late now but does she not like tower fans? If she just wanted a fan to match the room why not this Hyundai for $129? Works pretty well and looks good. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/hyundai-100cm-bladeless-tower-f…

It has built in battery too. Useful to carry outdoor.

      • This. The ability to use this untethered shouldn't be underrated. Still more expensive and fewer features than the good old Xiaomi fan (or its Kogan sibling) though.

  • I got this from the deal towards the end of last year with the free water bottle (or blender), stacked with discounted Shark gift card. I love the thing. Do not have a Vornado to compare, but the portability is really handy. I have tried the misting - it is okay. Makes a lot of stuff wet. Have only tried it in my semi-covered deck, but maybe need to try it in the more open area (without cover).
