I really wish I could get a version of Scrub Daddy sponges that didn't have the holes in them. They always start falling apart at the mouth.

I know people rave about these but I have never tried them because I just can't get over the stupid design. Holes through the middle and bits hanging off the sides. Just make them round or square… Oh but then they wouldn't fall apart so quickly.
@bboz: Theoretically the eye holes are for better grip, and the mouth hole is for cleaning both sides of a piece of cutlery at the same time. There's also the 'feature' that the sponge is stiff when used with cold water, and soft when used with hot, which supposedly offers two different services - scrubbing or gentle washing. But who in their right mind is scrubbing a pot with stuck on food, and using cold water?
I buy these, and they do genuinely last longer than traditional yellow sponges, but there are definitely bits of them that I hate. Cannot wait to move somewhere with a dishwasher…
There is Scrub daddy, big daddy which is a block of the scrub daddy scrubber material. I don't believe it is sold in Australia but. I have bought in the past from Amazon US via Amazon AU and cut slices of it. It cuts really easy and clean with a serated knife like a bread knife. In 2021 I paid $27 for 2 blocks shipped from Amazon US. Now it is $49 which is ridiculous, and not worth it. I got about 5 slices of each block. So 10 for the 2 blocks pack.
I just found that bunnings has the big daddy, $7.96 per block. It is worth it for that I think. Give it a shot and see what you think. It definitely lasts longer than the normal scrub daddies with the mouth and eye holes.

I bought some recently from catch and they were counterfeit ones - catch refunded immediately when I pointed this out.
They were much thinner and less absorbent than the genuine ones.
