Giant Defy 1 $899 (Reduced from $1,399)

250

Giant Defy 1 bicycle for $899. Carbon fork and seatpost, good reviews for the frame and (mostly) 105 gearing all the way through.

I'd buy one if I didn't already own 4 bikes :(

Enjoy!

(I don't have any affiliation with the store except I think they provide great customer service and gave me some good advice!)

Great price I paid over 1k for a defy 3 just over 12 months ago.

    Sounds like a big phone.

    • Well it is called a giant ;-)

  • This is QLD only ? Do they ship the bikes out ?

  • This is a good deal, just wander what shipping would be to WA?

Maybe I can price match over here

    • Can you keep me updated if you price match somewhere or get it shipped. Also interested and located in Perth

      • See post below, can even get it CHEAPER in WA at Mercer Cycles ($890)

        • cheers for that, reading its a defy 3. did you manage to have any luck finding another store to price match in WA ?

  • Good price. If they had something similar for their hybrids I would get one.

    Great price for a 2013 model .

Good price, marginally cheaper or matched at a few places - see www.bikeexchange.com.au

    Cyclehouse (VIC) $888
    Mercer Cycles (WA) $890
    Glenelg Cycles (SA) $899

    • Haven't checked the others, but (Mercer Cycles (WA) $890) is for a different bike - Defy 3 which has lower specs. Their Defy 1 (2013) is $1245.

    • As per above, my bad, please ignore.

  • That looks like an awesome price. Indooroopilly is a long ride home though to my house in Melbourne though. I have been thinking about getting back into cycling with a shiny new bike, would be extremely tempted if i could get this deal in Melbourne.

    • good find, that one is 2012 and xs size

  • Great price, I paid 800 for a second hand defy 2 (lower spec) a couple years back…
Excellent bike 4 commute/fitness, saved me $ on fuel and parking and gym membership.

  • Edit: post dupe

  • Different bike, but Carbon frame and 105 group set, how does this compare:

    • Never heard of this brand. But it is very cheap for a full carbon frame bike.

With Giant, you know what you get. A Big Kick butt Taiwanese bike manufacturer.
Giant offer lifetime warranty of their frames. Not even some high end Italian bike makers offer this.

I got a 2009 Giant Defy Advance 1 and it is lightning quick and very happy with it.

This GIANT bike on sale I would say would be a good entry level road bike. If you can afford to pay a bit more for a full carbon frame, I'd recommend you do so.

If this bike is going to be a 2nd hand, I don't care where I park it bike, I'd take this in a flash.

  • Don't forget to order your lycra cycling shorts and bib too!
