Thoughts/Feedback on The New Kogan LX20 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Hey Ozbs, I’m in the market for a new robot vacuum after running my Roborock S5 Max for nearly four years—still a trooper! This time, I’m keen on an auto-empty dock that also does a decent job mopping. Came across the Kogan LX20 Pro Ultra, which boasts self-cleaning and drying. The specs look solid, and the price is pretty tempting.

That said, Kogan gives me pause—not that I’ve had any dramas with their gear before, but still.

Before I take the plunge, keen to hear your thoughts! Any red flags I should watch out for before pulling the trigger? I'd also appreciate any alternatives below $1000

While I have no specific reviews the OEM/ODM that makes Kogan robot vacuums is Spair and Kogan are selling an upgraded version of their "SLD70" model with better suction. The Alibaba listing shows a short video of it. Probably the only other brand that you've heard of using Spair is eufy.

Ignoring the fact that it's Kogan I reckon it would do a good job. Strong suction, spinning mops with pressure and auto cleaning with hot water/hot air drying. What would make it better is 2 side brushes instead of 1.

  • Reviews for the LX18 aren't great: https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/kogan-smarterhome-…

Can't find any reviews for LX20, I guess Kogan just move on to a new and improved model once word gets around about the old model.

Previously bought a Kogan LX15 that has just broken after 2 years of use.

Kind of annoyed that it hasn't lasted longer, but that's the risk you take when buying from Kogan.

I saw the LX20 as well and was tempted by the price proposition, but we ended up buying the Roborock Q Revo for $880 at the Good Guys (sale price+coupon+GC).

It's an extra $180 compared to the LX20, but for that you are getting a more reputable brand/product + easier recourse if it breaks.
