Watch Shops in Perth for Omega

I was looking to get a nice watch for a family member turning 18.

I’ve some experience with Casio and citizen eco drive watches, I had a Tag Heuer many years ago, but it’s a bit small and I don’t wear it anymore. I’ve inherited a very old Gold/SS Rolex, but it’s not my style, or really his, I think. I quite like the Omega Seamaster watches, Rolex are nice, but maybe too ‘showy’ for me.

I was thinking maybe an Omega, he has seen a copy Omega Aqua Terra - white face - and he liked that. But want to get him a real one, just not sure whether to buy in Perth or elsewhere in Asia. And what shops in Perth are good?

  Watches of Switzerland from memory is your best bet.

  mind you they treat you like trash if you're trying to buy a rolex without prior purchases.

  I just go to chrono24 personally.

  There is an omega boutique in Perth CBD. Though you'll get zero discount at the boutique, so better to go to a chain that sells Omega and perhaps you could grab 10-15% here or there on a less desireable piece.

  ALTERNATIVELY - Just buy grey market. Check out AWM on Facebook. Heaps of licenced SHD selling Omega in new condition for 30-40% off retail that come with a tax invoice and generally the normal warranty.

  Let me get this straight: you're asking on OzBargain of all places, where to buy a luxury watch that costs thousands of dollars, at a physical store so you can get maximally shafted as opposed to buying it online like any other sane horologist on this community does so they can save upwards of 50% compared to the ridiculous pricing available through normal retail channels?
