Recommendation Request: Entry 65 Inch OLED TV

I'm finally in a position to upgrade my 12 year old TV. I've been hoping for a 65' OLED TV with VRR, but really, I'm not gonna be picky as long as it's OLED.

I don't need to buy it now, I'm just looking for recommendations now, so I can wait for good deals on them.
Budget is $1k, but cheaper is better.

What TV models would you recommend? Only one I know is the TCL c755, which happens to be going for $1.1k right now lol.

The TCL C755 is not an OLED. Are you sure you don't mean mini-LED?

You're not going to get a 65" OLED for $1k anywhere.

Is mini-led, qled and OLED all different?

Yes, they're all different. You can tell by the way they all have different names.

        • Thank you for your reply.

Now that I've done some comparison, I think I'm pretty happy to settle for a mini-led. So now it's just to wait for one to be discounted to my price range.

      Jinx!

TCL C755 is Mini-LED, not OLED.

You're not getting a decent 65" OLED for $1k anytime soon.

Keep saving. You'll need $3k or more for a 65 inch OLED.

    • Lol but i think doable around $2.2k

rtings.com is the site you want, it has virtually every tv from every manufacturer ranked and compared.

LG B4 is probably what you want if your budget will stretch to it - it is the entry level to LG's OLED range, but as other's have said it will cost you more than $1k. If your budget is firm your best bet will be a TCL or Hisense mini-led, as high up in their respective ranges as you can find.

  • Don’t listen to the others, 1k will easily get you a fully functional 2nd hand 65” C1 or similar. Do not buy TCL if you enjoy watching sport.

  • I bought a 55 inch LG B1 for 1200, new, late 2023. Not quite there in size or $$$ but there are bargains. From ebay.
    Love it.
