Looks like radar detectors are illegal in all states except WA. Jammers like this one is probably illegal everywhere in Australia.
There's actually no law preventing using one, many people do. Unproven? The unit has been proven many times… we can have your car tested for free here in Perth to show you it works. The distributor has all the equipment including the laser to test and show you the results. Nor a bargain? What exactly are you comparing the unit to?
With regards to legalities of radar detector, people make the choice for themselves if they want to use the gear or not. Here in WA you can use one for example, people in other states make the decision for themselves to use one or not.
