Appears to be leftover from the Black Friday Deals. I'd been watching the price on these after getting one for Christmas. 48 reels of high quality polyester thread for $49. If you sew you know this is an awesome price. These retail individually at full price for around $4.50 so at just over $1 per reel is awesome. Always have the right colour on hand to match your project… or your mending!

They've also reduced the price of the sewing machine -

      I bought another two of these, if there is more in store I might buy another two. I bought 5 25 packs from Aldi in one of their special buys a few years ago and I'm finally through most of it so I know I'll use it!

    I swear metal sewing tins where sold during the Christmas period at all the supermarkets, they also included a initial batch of butter cookies inside the tin, so that you didn't need to take an empty container home. I recall they were $8 or so and then about $2 around new years.

        Any person with any ideas about sewing know that these 'included' threads are very poor quality and the avid tailor prefers to buy their own threads. I'd rather 48 decent cookies than 48 poor grade thread

          I’m not an avid tailor I’m a journeyman user. Unless these threads break when using them in the sewing machine they are likely to be good enough for what I do. I’d rather 48 threads that are adequate for the job.

          You’re joking when to say this thread is of poor quality right? I’m actually quite an accomplished seamstress. People pay for my work. Gutermann is one of the most highly rated a recommended threads out there.
