Ultra Cheap Gmk N95, Xiaomi Tablets AliExpress.Fake?

When I type gmk mini pc into AliExpress I get ones as little as aud35/40 free shipping!!??
Same with some Xiaomi tablets and other items. Too good to be true, I am assuming some sort of fake sale that either doesn't come, faulty or very poor substitute at best? Any experiences?

Definitely fake. You just need to look at the store to see it has bad feedback or very little feedback at all.

    • I've also found that they frequently don't even bother with a store name. It'll just be the default "store123456789"

What you find when you look at those items they are selling something like a cover for the tablet, and that's what the advert and the price default to. And if you pay the 35 or 40 dollars that's all you get, a cover for a tablet. You have to click on the tablet and get shown a much high price if what you want is a tablet, not just a cover.

And, yes, the sellers that use that tactic often are selling fake tablets as well.

  • @GordonD thanks for that explanation, I've come accross the same thing on Amazon etc with the "1tb usb flash drive" etc.,looking in hindsight obviously same sort of thing.

  • Also you don't get what you ordered. I found a display cabinet that was $150 everywhere on Ali and one place was selling it for just over $20. Title, description, everything checked out. The order came 2 weeks later and they had shipped me a single bolt.

  • Last year, I had the unfortunate experience of the worst scam on AliExpress. I purchased a 4070 Ti graphics card from one of the sellers for around $575, believing it was a fantastic deal.

When I received the item the following week while I was out, I immediately sensed something was wrong. The courier managed to fit the package into my mailbox, which was odd because a 4070 Ti is quite large and wouldn't typically fit in such a small space.

As soon as I got home, I picked up the almost weightless tiny box and opened it, only to find a piece of cardboard inside instead of the graphics card. Pure and straight scam with zero intention to pretend.

Fortunately, I had paid through PayPal, but I was required to submit an official report from a government agency before I could file a claim. After dealing with the paperwork and waiting, I eventually received my refund.

The takeaway from this experience: if a deal seems too cheap, it’s likely a scam.
