[VIC] De'Longhi PrimaDonna Soul Fully Automatic Coffee Machine (ECAM61075MB) $829 (RRP $1899) Shipped / C&C @ MYER

290

Couple of years ago, I got bought a used 5 yr old Delonghi Primadonna from my old workplace that was downgrading and it has been so great, coffee and milk foam always 9.8+/10 - up until ~2 years ago, which at this point the machine was probably 13 years old, the machine started retiring slowly. Been dreading the day that I needed to replace it as RRP is ~$1899 so Ive been waiting for an close enough replacement it for a while now and at this price - the waiting seems to have paid off.

Can confirm I bought one for C&C @ Myer at this price. I read some reviews and that combined with my personal experience and the discount - twas good enough for me. Ive tried other delonghi models and even other brands, and the primadonna model is always on the top of my own personal rankings so Im not much concerned of newer features such as wifi etc. Hope this helps anyone who's looking for a new fully automatic coffee machine.

Mod Update: Now VIC only for delivery/C&C. There are some stores outside of VIC with limited in store stock.

  • My first refurb De'Longhi lasted 11 years. I've had my second one (again refurb) for 5.5 years, and while it needed a fairly expensive service a couple of years ago, it's still going strong. I would 100% buy another next time.

They were selling the one without the auto milk frother for around $350 about a month back.

    • Love that other people have also enjoyed this machine for very long period of time. Cant recommend this enough.

    • What's the expensive service. I have never done any besides descale and cleaning?

Did you remember the $8.29 cashback from Shopback ?

I snapped this up so quickly ( so worried it will disappear at check out) whilst I in the middle of work so didnt have time for it. No ragrets tho. :)

  • Says out of stock.

The wifi models are cloud based too which means if Delonghi one day decides to retire the service, the coffee machine won't accept commands over wifi.

I think this one uses bluetooth which will always work as it is not cloud based.

        The future is now

        • I'd be concerned about Russian hackers…

            • @xwx: Either.

                • +1

@xwx: You'll know you've been hacked if your coffee machine begins making these…

                    • @xwx:

I mean, that looks suspiciously like a benefit.

That's what they want you to believe…

    • So what is the benefit of bluetooth?

      • -1
        1. Convenience: It eliminates the need for cables and wires, making it easy to connect devices like smartphones, tablets, and headphones without the hassle of tangled cords.
        2. Portability: Bluetooth-enabled devices are often portable and can be easily carried around, allowing you to stay connected on the go.
        3. Energy Efficiency: Bluetooth consumes relatively low power compared to other wireless communication methods, which helps prolong battery life in devices like wireless earbuds and smartwatches.
        4. Versatility: It's widely used in various applications, such as audio streaming, file transfer, gaming controllers, and even smart home devices, making it a versatile technology for everyday use.
        5. Compatibility: Most modern devices come with built-in Bluetooth, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of products and brands.

Remotely make a coffee as you wake up.

Practically, never use it as it takes 0.5sec to press the button and the machine makes the coffee in a minute. Don't want to pre-make the coffee either as I don't want it getting cold.

        • as I don't want it getting cold.

What if you want to make iced coffee?

  • does it do well with light roasts though? because not many fully automated coffee machines can do light roast. or any kind of specialty coffee.

Have been using mainly Airjo on mine for the last 2 years. I've bought light and dark roasts and it has been great.

    • Can I have the cart please?

        • Its showing out of stock, how did you get it to PM?

    • They are telling me the manager said no and hasn't approved this price at all today. An order number or something would be useful if you have?

Amazing machine. Bought this back in 2022 for $1200 and thought i got a great deal

Bought this back in 2022 for $1200 and thought i got a great deal

      How wrong were you…………

      • $400 wrong. If i account for inflation maybe $500 wrong. Gonna KMS

    • I’d say still not a bad deal when the machine is excellent and produces great coffee.

  • Shame I missed this one. I couldn’t get anybody to price match the obvious pricing error.

  • I have the same machine for more than a year and I have not been able to nail it.
Airjo Coffee Beans (Enterprise), tried all roasted settings as we cannot manually set grinder, but its not even close to the cafe.

Appreciate any fine-tuning advice for the machine.

  • IMO
the primadonna series is BY FAR the best fully automatic coffee machine series i have used to date in it's price tier….if you're planning on getting a cheaper one, i would actually recommend saving a bit more to buy one. My daily is an ESAM6900, it's had over 10 years of use and easily over 20,000 cups of coffee have been made from it (can check in the machine settings when i get home). It's still going strong and get's abused all day.

Only things i've had to replace on it are:
    - waste bucket - Broke due to mistreatment, when emptying coffee grinds in the yard i accidently launched it and it landed on concrete…it cracked, however i was able to patch it up so i have a secondary waste bucket if it need it.
    - o-ring on the milk spout, replaced at around the 8 year mark, probably could have kept using it, but sometimes it wasn't getting a perfect seal
    - Microswitch for accessory detector, replaced at around the 8 year mark, this is due to mistreatment, we didn't have the milk accessory sitting in properly then we forced it in.

  • Got the eletta explore during the great code deal on here late 2022.
Best machine I’ve had yet. Better and hotter milk coffee than my previous Jura and Saeco.

  • If anyone was able to pick up this up successfully from Myer, could you please share your order number? (or DM me please)

Is this still available? Why does it say $1829 instead of $829?
