Son wants to go to the first state of origin game at Suncorp stadium. Looking at Ticketek it seems that we have missed the boat and they’ve all sold. I had a quick look at viagogo and the tickets are now $555 with a $224 each booking fee!
So - which reseller is reliable?
Is it better to wait and buy off a reseller close to the game?
For next year I guess we just need to be on the ball and be ready on day of release- are they usually difficult to get hold of?

Yes, I've bought a few times on Tixel and had no problems. They comply with local laws (10% price increase allowed on a ticket) and tickets are delivered instantly.
Viagogo are infamous for scalping. If a ticket is $555 with a $224 'fee', avoid them at all costs.
At that price might be worth looking for travel packages?
At that price buy him a new large flat screen TV and say maybe next time son….
Usually there are multiple ticket releases throughout the year, I wouldn't buy from a reseller at this stage. Instead I'd sign up for a mailing list and wait for a second/third release of tickets.
https://tixel.com/au/ is the only reseller I would ever consider purchasing from. Wouldn't even gamble a tenner at Viagogo.
