Previous deals have been popular, they have a wide range of gins. No end date except that they're sure this will be popular. Who'd imagine: A company thinking their deals will be popular 😁.

HOW DO WE OFFER THIS PRICE?

A major portion of the price of Gin in Australia is paid to the taxman. Excise duty accounts for $103.89 per 1000ml of alcohol. That's about $22.33 plus GST per 500ml bottle at 43%; it's the 3rd highest in the world and we aren't exactly fans…

Each year, Australian craft distilleries are allowed to sell a limited number of bottles and not pay Excise Duty. We decided to sell them at wholesale price, direct to you and pass on the Duty Free savings.

      Nothing wrong - it's not bad for the price, not outstanding, just fine.

      However, their constant email spam of "Definitely the last time you can ever find this price, only 40 bottles left! Never going to be this cheap again!" before re-wording or twisting their 'new and exciting' offer for the next week is definitely getting old, and makes me less likely to purchase from them again. They keep changing the name they use for their marketing, and keep spamming constant 'deals'. They go by Brisbane Distillery Company, or Queensland Distillery, or Red Queen Distillery, and now River Town/artisangin.com as well by the look of it.

      Their 'duty free' claim seems to be that they can sell at their 'reduced price' for up to 15,000 bottles. The fact that they still haven't hit that target in what must be over a year now might be a reflection on their marketing tactics and product quality.

    Brisbane Distilleries vodka (which appears to be gin and is cheaper!) is quite drinkable with soda/ice and cheaper, although I usually drink whisky! No doubt the same under a different guise!

  More expensive than Aldi house gin (Darley's), pretty simple profile but is perfectly drinkable.

    I wonder if perhaps this is a tax dodge on their part. Register a new company, claim the maximum $350k alcohol excise rebate, rinse and repeat.

  This is a great deal. I bought 4 bottles for $100 and then 8 for $200. Still going on the remaining bottles and will buy more if there is still this deal. A 500ml bottle for $25 is the equivelant of a 750ml bottle for $37.50 which is a great deal for 43% ABV and they are great gins.
