These are garbage, mine and my mates left buttons have both failed.

I've been using mine daily since 2023, no issues at all.

I love mine. Don't get as much wrist pain (even better ergonomically for me than the MX Master which is also awesome)

    • +1

Mine has been fine. I quite like it.

Used mine for 2 years and no issues, how rough were you with the mouse?

      • +1

as rough as the cat probably

    • Still going strong the past 2 years, my daily and only mouse, dropped few times

    • I switched to the MX vertical and have had no issues.
Seems to be a common problem with the lift

  • You should definitely go to JB Hi or wherever and try it out. They have them at work and it takes a while to get used to and I personally feel like they could be a bit heavier. But ultimately, it'll come down to personal preference.

there is a bigger version called MX Vertical, it's heavier and rechargeable. It's on sale at the moment at JB and officeworks.

      • I main mx vertical most work days and can confirm it’s awesome

      • MX Vertical is very comfortable, but charging can get iffy. Mine has a long standing issue with the charging light flashing for 2-3 seconds and then just stopping charging (this started a year or two after I bought it).

So far, I've been able to do a temporary fix by belting the shit out of it on book or similar surface - I'm assuming there's something not ideal in the charging connections. I've haven't been willing to open it up yet, because as ever, you need to wreck the pads to get to the screws … Mind you, for all my grumbling, it's still going strong after 5 and bit years and only needs the violent treatment every couple of months.

I'll still get another when this one dies, but be warned that YMMV.

Edit I've had some success with charging it from an old school 5W port. It doesn't seem to like higher delivery USB ports (mildly ironic given one of it's touted features is USB-C).

FWIW, replacement pads are pretty cheap to order online. Get 2 or 3 packs so you don't mind opening it up later to change the LMB switch 2 years after you fix that loose connector.

      • +1 for MX Vertical. Had to buy another one for my partner as she kept nicking mine when WFH. The battery life is fantastic. Mine is 5 or 6 years old now and I haven't noticed much change in cycle life.

The left mouse button did eventually give up the ghost but replacement microswitches were cheap and with the help of YouTube I was able to replace it myself.

Anybody interested in trying a vertical mouse without a big investment, Office Works have a $20 one that I've used for 4+yrs without issue:

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/j-burrows-…

You won't be gaming on it but I've used it exclusively at work and it's fixed my forearm pain. For $20 I'm happy. The ONLY time I've considered upgrading is when doing a lot of quick, repetitive, accurate, mouse movements as the polling rate could be a tiny bit faster but that's rare for me. $20. Wireless. Forward/back thumb buttons. Battery lasts 6+ mths.

    • Do you know if it works with rechargeable batteries, e.g. eneloops?

A lot of mice don't like the lower voltage of rechargeable batteries.

      • Nobody answered, so I put the question onto the Officeworks webpage for the mouse. Several days later, I got a notification that a staff member had answered, and it now says (paraphrasing) "yes, it works with rechargeable NiMH batteries".

    • Thanks! Ordered one. I wanted to try out a vertical mouse for the office.

  • Left hand avail?

  • Had the left click on mine fail after 10 months. (Wouldn't register left clicks sometimes). I was disappointed as I did really like the mouse and prefered it over the MX Vertical.
Went back to my Gen 1 MX Master which has been going strong since launch.

  • I have one for work (got it for $60 at JB few years ago) and its awesome. Thinking of getting another at home, should I try the MX Vertical or MX Master? Anyone have all of those mouse that are comment on? Cheers

    • Do not have the MX Lift but I do have MX Vertical and MX Master 3s.

MX Vertical is said to be a larger version of the Lift. If you're used to the silent click on the Lift, it will be audible on the Vertical. It comes with a USB-C port for charging its rechargeable battery. A minor gripe, and possibly a personal thing, is that I occasionally will topple the mouse whenever I move my hand from the mouse to the keyboard (and vice versa). The scroll wheel is rather basic too. Also, it uses the older Unifying receiver (as opposed to the Bolt receiver used in Master 3s and Lift). Been using this mouse for about 5 years now.

As for the MX Master 3s, I like it. And came to this mouse from the Vertical. I do notice that after a while, I get wrist pains. I do like the scroll wheel, where I can scroll rather quickly; though some people do not like it. Been using this mouse for over a year.

I personally bounce between the Master 3s and Vertical. If I have to pick one, I will pick Vertical for the ergonomics.

      • Coming from the Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic mouse, the MX Master 3S feels a little too flat. Not bad, but by no means upright.

    • I have all three (Lift, Vertical, Master 3s). The vertical is my standard mouse for work, and noticed that my right wrist, arm and shoulder are feeling much better. Lift is too small for me, so I gave it to the missus (who prefer Lift over vertical). I use the Master 3s when I travel for work. I found the Vertical too bulky to put in a laptop bag.

Like @settings2, vertical does topple over but rarely (once a few months).

      • agree
i tried master (not 3 but same design anyway) and get wrist pain.
tried trackball advance also logitech, no wrist pain but thumb pain
        then lift.. no more pain
