Round 2 for those who missed it when it was $10.82.

  • +8

Don’t really get why the last deal was so popular.

Looks like a run of the mill battery.

    Glad people like it but.

    • +11

      It's cheap.

      • Cheapest way to stay a house fire after a box of matches.

        • Lets be real. The cheapest way is rubbing sticks together (friction fire), then magnification, then matches and then a cigarette lighter lol. The battery doesn't even come close.

    • +2

Where are other compact 20W 10000mah power banks at $10.82 ?

      • +3

        Been a while but.

        Better brand too imo.

        • +1

I have both, but I prefer this one to INIU. It has a nice look, good quality, and solid build. It does fast charging for my S24 Ultra.

        • +1

I have both too and agree INIU is better, but that is 6 months ago. If all deal posters went by that benchmark, posts would be rare.

        • The INIU is better, but it's been a while since it's been on sale.

        • To the two people who voted me down, why?

          • @PainToad: They are born to do that. I gave you a +1.

            • @jimojr: +1 to cancel out the person who voted you down.

eneloops and cheap powerbanks are the ozb currency. personally I lose them quicker than I can charge them

      • +3

Might be time to invest in an AirTag

        • +7

why buy an airtag when I can buy 3 powerbanks?

          • @May4th: Because you’ll lose all 3 powerbanks and then you’ll be back to where you started

            • +7

@illusion99: funny you say that, I have three samsung smart tags from the last deal but I can't remember where I put them in the house..

              • @May4th: Need to do something about that memory of yours😅 try learning new things e.g. new languages. I trust as an ozb'er u hv cheap sub to superduolingo, it's time to really benefit from it

                • +1

@floxyz: Might already forgot login details and on what sub(s) ….

      Landfill

Please don't dispose of batteries in general waste bins that go to landfill. There's stores where you can drop them off for recycling like Aldi, IKEA & Battery World.

Cloes got a red bin to collect batteries as well as Burning Warehouse.

      • Why do you say that? Is this not a good product?

        • I think someone posted that these are only 66% of rated capacity. So they're cutting corners somewhere.

          • @hsc21: Ah, thanks. I just saw on an Innui powerbank the seller claims all powerbanks are below the stated capacity…

The actual capacity of power bank may vary from the rated one due to energy conversion (typically 85-92%) and circuit losses (typically remaining 65-74%). This is common for all power banks. *(Powerbank Rated Capacity × 90% × 74%)/Device Battery Capacity≈Number of Charges.

So 66% might be lower than typical (got to confess I didn't find the above quoted info quite clear) but you would probably get enough to fully rechage your phone once, before the powerbank starts to diminish. Would seem to be ample for a quick top up, or for earbuds and watches.

            • @sam buster: DC-DC conversion is NOWHERE near as inefficient as this person is claiming… If it's not 95%+ it doesn't exist because it would be cheaper not to make it. I don't own a common model DC-DC converter that's not 95+ (I've about 6 models on hand).

              • @parad0x: It's still true due to the step up voltage nature. These are 3.7v, stepping up to at least 5v.

                • @superroach: Of course. So these are shoddy advertising? Cuz you can't take the installed capacity in mAh and apply it to 5v… That's why we should only use Wh to measure capacity

                  • @parad0x: Most would agree this is dumb/deceptive marketing, but this has been the standard way these batteries have been advertised for as long as they've been around.

                    • @Sqz66: Really? Even for a Cygnet or whatever from JB? That's a bit odd, but only when I look at it from the inside out, but outside in its no different to a wireless speaker with xxxxxmAh battery… Just a bit of a difference that the average consumer wouldn't distinguish between between and ramifications of LiIon/LiPo and LiFePo4.

Well, that was a strange realisation, I'll never look at power packs them same now lol

            • @sam buster: Correction:
              INIU not Innui!

The quote is from the seller, INIU AU, on their Amazon webpage.

            • @sam buster: 80 - 90% is normally what you'd expect. 66% is on the low side, but it was only a sample of one so ymmv.

              • @hsc21: Thanks. I appreciate the replies and info.

    • I got my partner one and she liked it because it is cheap, compact, and the flippable lightning cable attached to it means that we can have one powerbank with one cable that charges both out phones (the multi-headed cables always fail).

    $12.63 for white

    • What code did you use? I can only manage to get $9 off, (ie ~$20 price).

      Or $10.50 off the Purple.

      EDIT
Perhaps becausee I don't have an active Prime membership?

  • Has anyone tried these? It's a while since I bought a powerpack that could supposedly charge both Apple and Android devices, and had shared input/output ports (An Anker Slim model ~10 years ago).
That was a disaster as it somehow started discharging my devices rather than recharging them!
Following that my parents bought me a couple of cheap ones (from Aldi or Kmart. probably), but they would take several hours to charge devices, and then take all night themselves to be recharged. Not to mention their weight and bulkiness.

    • I have tried a good amount of power banks over the years. INIU has been terrific. Fast charge, great capacity, lightweight for most models.

Edit: this 20000mah and the 10000mah models have been the best I've used. Highly highly recommended. https://amzn.asia/d/2SQvlaN

Vrurc have been decent, previous models have taken longer to charge up, but feels like they hold capacity longer.

Kmart and cheap consumer friendly models have always been horrendous in my experience.

      • Thanks, appreciate the reply and recommendation.
After missing last night's Charmast deal, I had a look at INIU. I was tempted by the Slimmest model. Though I think it might be older tech now.

I agree about cheap electronics, and generally avoid Kmart for such, hence I mentioned it was a gift, haha. It was actually Intempo brand for Target, but little better.

  • Bought this without reading. Can someone who has it confirm if the usb-c port works with other cables?

    • +1

Yes, you can unplug the built-in cable.

  • Now have 8 on the way. Still not enough.

    • Please seek help for your power bank addiction.

      • +1

Better than those people who are getting it to throw into landfill.

        • It's where they'll end up if they don't get sold.

          • @parad0x: Good thing this has been a top seller long before this deal.

            • @Clear: Almost paid $15 for one yesterday because BigW refused to hotspot my watch or charge my phone so I could buy all their smart plugs 😂 I walked to the car and back with the assurance that they were all mine

  • +3

Anyone else promo code not working?

    • +1

yes, I have the same issue, just tried now

    • +3

Promo codes didn't work for me too. But on the sale page you should see the option to redeem 30% or 35% discount, click this to apply then add the item to your cart. You will see the extra discount applied to checkout
