  • I don’t think Officeworks or JB price beat/match Telstra since it requires Telstra ID to purchase

Correct. But some people on other threads have mentioned they've had some success. It depends on which employee is behind the counter and by how much are they being asked to beat the price by.

So it's extremely YMMV kinda situation.

I've had recent success - while at OW, showed the sales assistant the cart in the My Telstra app, and that I could press "buy now" for the discounted price. The sales assistant seemed to be a longer term employee with a bit more confidence around the price beat process.

      As noted regularly - YMMV.

  • for earbuds, i always prefer jabra's as they are more comfortable

    • Which ones?

      • Like the elite10 ones. I use the original one, and the upgraded one seems to be the same shape

    • Everyone will be different. I tried the Jabras and thought their quality was awful. Ended up with galaxy buds 2 (not pro) at the time and was much happier.

      • The buds 2 kept falling out of my ears. It definitely does vary between person to person.

        • jabra elite 10 kept falling out of my ears. It definitely does vary between person to person. I'm yet to try the buds

Any recommendations for sub $100 earbuds?

    • No idea if they are good but look on facebook marketplace for all the buds3 (non pro) people will try and offload soon from Samsung deals. I'm not expecting to get much more than that.

Samsung buds FE often drop to sub $100. Super comfy and sound pretty good.

    • Loving my CMF Buds Pro 2

  • Are the tips still easily ripped when changing? Or have they fixed the issue?

    • Should be fixed 3 or so months ago from what I've read. But haven't been too popular at end of day.

Dunno, mine tore first try trying to change. Maybe I'm just unco?
Swapped to large, but hurt in ear a little and medium too small. Bought some Sonicfoam memory foam tips off amazon and they are awesome. And if you take the memory foam tip off it looks like you could put normal tips on, working like an adapter of sorts.

flood of these on eBay right now….

    • Yes.Brand new sealed ones going for $199

  • Pretty good quality pair of ear bud. Specially like the noise cancelling feature.

  • Am tossing up between these and the quietcomfort ultra buds… can anyone speak for the latter?

    • +1

I've got these and had the quiet comfort ultra, ( QC ultra have amazing comfort and noice cancelling but the call quality is terrible) the buds 3 pro are great value for everything

  • OW didn’t price match for me, employee said can’t match Telstra as you need to login or something ? you don’t actually need to be a Telstra customer to buy these but I couldn’t be bothered arguing the fact, I left and got from Telstra store and used some points I had for a cheaper price, delivered in 2 days in Sydney, Great earbuds with my Samsung phone coming from AirPods I love how seamless the galaxy pods to use.

I have these, noise cancelling is better than Buds 2, also i had people i called for work complaining about clarity with buds 2, these seem to have fixed the issue

    • Same for me, and the stem touch controls are way better. Do you have an issue with autoplay when you put them in?

      • +1

took me a while to get used to the stem controls, i prefer the touch to start / stop but am getting more used to stem. No issues with autoplay so far mate

  • If you're after sound quality, just get the FE
