Had a search would like some first hand ideas.
Anyone recommend any good quality sunshades to block through windscreen for when its parked?
Steering wheel was thermonuclear when I got in the car yesterday as the el-cheap shitter sun unshade had just flopped down which it has done a few times.. It uses the sun visors to hold it in place, but doesnt seem to fit well anymore

You can buy a custrom made that fit to your car - Snap Shades for $$$$$$
Or something cheap from supercheapauto for fraction of the price $
Or Autoban, which has few options
BTW. sometimes the sun appear in side ways and heats up your steering wheels, so your $$$$$$ shades can be uesless :)

Would I get it? NO - they are pain in the bum to fold away, I prefer flip and fold sunshades.
Definitely can’t go wrong with the Kmart one. Used to use this until I too got sucked in by Snap Shades
Are you sure its a large windscreen?
We got a folding silver bubble wrap style onenfrom supercheap auto. Thought itd be large for large 4wd. when tested turned out we needed a small.

buy a cheapo $5 foil type shade and put it on the OUTSIDE jam it with the wipers.
Cheapest and most effective.
Snapshades as above, you'll get the best fit, but it'll also be the most expensive option. 20% off happens often enough, but still is pricey after the discount.
If you have a dashcam tho, it may impact fit and functionality
I'd pay $50 for a Snapshade, but not $150.. guess its foot traffic to the auto stores to see whats on offer.

Best: Snapshade - works and fits nicely
Good: Repco Sun Shade, comes in various sizes, thick and decently priced. I have the SCA version as well but the Repco is much better and thicker.
Does the job - Kmart Sunshade + Umbrella - Umbrella makes it convenient, put the thick on in front and support with umbrella and you are good to go.
Just get a second hand cheap looking single wool blanket from an op-shop, cheap place,and close it into the doors,draped over the outside of WScreen. Even a sheet works.Outside will knock over more heat than inside,anyway.

Probably still cooler than chrome plated metal seat belt female receiver on black vinyl bench seat in full sun….. my parents had a VE Valiant when I was on my P's, there was often someone that would get a shock from sitting on or grabbing them

Measure your windscreen internally, go to a store, and find the thicker firmer models to suit your vehicle/size.
Simple.
