      that's great.

Lol we all have microplastics irregardless of any attempt at avoiding them.

    • +21

      DM sent.

    • As long as it has a flared base that's fine!

    • +2

You're going to get a lot less microplastic from this than you would using cling wrap over a bowl of something instead.

That said, the vast VAST majority of microplastics in the home come from clothing.

      Is that you Dutto?

      • I don't get these aussie sounding names people be throwing around. Dutto, Donny. I have no idea who those people are.

        • -1

In the case of Dutto, just think of his face as a visual representation of ipecac syrup.

Some politicians are enigmatic, some are emetic. He's the latter

Here I am using my Heinz tomato and mustard screw top bottle instead 😂

    • Yep, can't believe ppl pay a premium to avoid the obvious cheap or free option.

    • yes exactly. not sure why people couldn't get this from my comment above.

when you pay for something part of that is for the bottle it comes in as well so might as well use it instead of buying "blank" bottles and throwing away the first one straight away.

Unless they buy the bulk sauce.. or perhaps use for another liquid

        • -1

yeah like commercial kitchens they get stuff in like huge sizes.

but when i see these I always think this kind of thing is consumer brainrot. like ermegerrd best bottle ever!! sauce with the correct type of bottle is cheaper.

      • +6

Maybe they don’t want to fill their empty Heinz Tomato Sauce bottle with oil? Can you not comprehend

        • -2

          what do you mean.

you have a perfectly good bottle that came with your $3 sauce and you don’t want to wash it and use it after you use the sauce?? instead you want to buy a $5 blank bottle which is the best bottle ever?

  • -4

Might want to reconsider if you want to use it with oil.
When oil get into the cap's joint, it will lubricate it enough that the cap will fall mid pouring which is very annoying.

    • +2

I use it sometimes but haven't had that happen before since ordering in 2020.

    • +2

Also have been using it with EVOO for about 2 years and have never had this issue

    • +3

I've used it daily for 5 years and this has never happened once

    • +2

I've used this with oil for a few years and haven't had any issues.

    • +1

      frfr no cap.

    • from all the response it seems like i got a bad one! :(

      • Does it have the screw-on collar? It has enough thread turns on it, that I cannot imagine it falling off.
I have four that I've been using for cooking oil, tomato sauce, bbq sauce, and honey for 5+ years. Never failed. Even with the honey where I need to squeeze hard to get it out.

    • Have you used one? These have a two part cap that stops oil entering the thread.

  • +3

This really is no leak. Have been using a bottle for cooking oil for months and love it.

  • What size(s) to get… that is the question

    • +1

Medium for oil is a good size

      • Thanks. Got two in medium as suggested!

This is no deal. I have one. This is just darn cheap quality plastic bottle with a cap nothing special. Not worth more than $3.

    • +2

Reject shop probs a $1 each

    • +3

i disagree, it’s very well designed, you can push the neck of the lid and it will click back on without having to manually aim for the opening.

    • I've been through a decent number of fairly garbage sauce bottles and these ones are pretty good. The cap that goes over the end is well designed.

    • No lid/cap, though.

  • Ahh oxxo, a name I haven't heard in years.

  • These are amazing, we decant bulk oil for easier use. I tried the old trick of using a Sriracha bottle for my oil, but it ends up leaking out of the threads and all down the side. Don't get the same problem with this two piece cap design.
