And save $5? Why do that when you can get somebody else to change it for you?
$15 is standard pricing all over. Last time I got mine changed at Eastwood for $14, so it's not worth going all that far just to save a buck.
If you are not in a hurry, give the watch to a friend going overseas. The going rate at Singapore airport is SG$5
Go to Parklea market on Saturday and you can get this changed for 5$
I find $1 pack of 5 batteries off ebay. Wait a month to receive and do it myself.
Sure the batteries don't last as long and you will have to change it more regularly but I find it by far the cheapest.
Interesting… Watchworks in Macarthur Square has been charging around $40 for this… Just to change a battery! A lot of people I know have stopped using watches and use their phone instead because its too expensive to get the battery changed in that district.
I get my Swatch watch batteries changed for $7.50 at the watch shop in Bonnyrigg Plaza.
I know people who buy batteries from places like Crazy Clark or Overflow and change it themselves. I suppose you only do that if you have a not too expensive or older watch, or you are very skilful.
Buy battery, change it yourself.
$10 is usually the going rate.
