What is the difference between steak and tomato knives, they look the same?

    • Bread, steak, tomato, all have fairly vicious serrations

      • They do and they make terrible cuts.. I know from experience

        • +1

Ah they are more like a saw than a knife really.

  • How do you get the price to display?

    • +2

      It's OOS

      • Bugger. Took me ages to realise that :(

        • +1

Yeah it's a different seller now, not Catch

  • $78 my guy

Ze best. Bought this in 2015 from Victorinox in Lucerne. Use it more than any other knife in the kitchen. Still works as it did on Day 1.

Same here. And the cherry on top - no special maintenance, we just stick em in the dishwasher with the other utensils. No rust at all

  • +1

They're great for the money, good for tomato and steak but I prefer a stiletto when it's time to kill a man quietly.

    • +2

Yeah but if he's a vampire you're really going to want one of these stake knives

Are these the same as the $2 ones from spotlight, or better?

  • anybody used the chopstick & sandpaper / scourer method for honing / sharpening these. It’s a pretty easy way to bring back the edge on single-edge serrated knives. Mine are about 5ish years old now and I feel lost a bit of their “zing”

Chopstick tip is good size for full sized bread knives but doesn’t really fit the groove for these. Can’t think of what else to use and wrap the sandpaper around.

    • Just checking - youve done this successfully? What do you do?

  • but wait there's more!

  • I bought one of these from amazon before, they're very good, and super sharp, so watch your fingers

  • Sold out

  • Been chasing some for a while and kept checking the page since last night but it only shows $78.50 for me :-(

  • +1

Can OP pls update this deal to either OOS or the actual price now that it’s doubled.

  • Nice. I bought 4 individual red knives for my new place, and they're just as good as Ozb said.

  • No Qld delivery…. damn youf!
