Dang, longest clipper comb included here is a #4, but I need one that'll go up to a #8.

    Still a good deal though.

It’s not about size, it’s how you use it

I'd be pretty sure that you can get longer combs. My kit from 20 years ago goes up that far but like most I only use #1 or #2. NO offence but you must have a lot of hair - that's the kind of number I'd use on our dog! Only slightly envious :)

Look at the Wahl site for details etc.

        8 on top
        3 on sides
        Taper
        Nothing unusual with that

How are you getting that price?

      $79.20 x 50%

    • +2

      Onepass member pricing is cheaper.

You must have OnePass, make sure you're logged in and then should see that price at checkout - worked for me.

  • Thanks, great deal!

  • How does this compare with Philips 9000?

  • Can this be used on the face?

    • +5

      Absolutely not.

    • You can use it to get the beard mostly off then use a razor

      • +1

Apparently you can't do that anymore. I remember being able to use this type of clipper on my face, but they’ve redesigned it so it no longer cuts facial hair—forcing you to buy a separate one just for that. Thank you capitalism.

        • Damn, just bought one, but If that's really the case I've still got my 20yr old Wahl kit using NiMH batteries - replaced with soldered-in Eneloops about 10 years ago and that will shave as close as you like. Thought this might be an upgrade, new combs etc? Maybe I just might just stick with the older version.

Interested to see what others say.

        • What Wahl products are good for the face, to cut to a stubble (I have an electric shaver already)? Keen on one made in Europe.

          • @Corgsta: This is their best trimmer. I have a previous version of this and it's perfect. Made in US and lasts ages. May I ask why you're looking for one made in Europe?

            • @DontNeedThis: Thanks, that looks like a nice unit. I just preference buying US/Euro made stuff where I can, usually lasts longer. It's definitely the case with tools.

    • Grab a Wahl Peanut. It’s a trimmer from their pro line which trims to stubble well. Corded but will last forever, can get a 2 pack of replacement clipper heads for $12 on Aliexpress. Mines been going for 5 years now.

  • These are great. I got them in a previous deal and haven't gone back to the hairdresser since.

Plenty of great tutorials online on how to self cut.

  • Yep, these are great.

    OOS my balls thank you.

PSA: Don't use electric trimmers on your balls unless you like them dotted with blood

    Love Wahl clippers.

But would suggest to consider buying corded, as most people cut hair near where there is a powerpoint and they should last for many years.

    • Wireless is convenient. You can cut anywhere, in the bathroom, in the garden, on your deck, on the street, at the basketball court, etc.

      • basketball court

This took me a sec 😂

        • Remember to bring your leaf blower…

  • missed out :(

  • wow this is like a full barber kit it has everything you need to cut hair for men. (different with women though they require other things as well)
