  • $70 for a airfryer to replace the Philips Air Fryer Premium XXL (HD9650/93) 1.4kg Capacity $269.35. Should I? but a $70 device to replace a $300 device?
Will that work in my favour?

Capacity aside, Instant Pot is probably better in every aspect.

I've owned the Philips and now own this exact Instant Vortex airfrier… The instant one is better in every way. Best airfryer i've used.

    • I've had the Instant for a few years, to dip my toes into the AF market - amazing, easy, fast. Zero complaints. Would buy again.

    I owned both airfryers.

    Phillips :
Positive: Cooks both sides at once due to the spacing around the tray
Negative: Oil leaks from underneath, handle broke after 18 months, unit itself died after 2 years

    Instant vortex:
Positives: Cooks hot and crisp, no oil leaks
Negatives: Needs turning of food to crisp both sides but tells you when to turn and does preheating. Few beeps take time to get used to.

Overalll: F*&K phillips, buy the vortex

Philips: lasted 9 years and only replaced because it was so cheap to replace with a new philips XL that was posted here for $89 (from $299 /Big W) via everyday market with 35% CB

Instant: replaced by amazon under warranty after 8 months, then refunded by amazon 8 months later

      • You never got oil coming out the back or bottom?

Bought the Vortex almost 2 years ago from Amazon for $113 on sale. Still works great with regular use. At this price, it is a steal.
