How Are You Getting Cheap Kayo in 2025?

Fellow sport watchers unite!

In 2024 I was a Digital Giants member to redeem the Kayo membership which was a great deal.

Does anyone have a cheaper method in 2025? What’s your current go to?

And yes I prefer Kayo over free streams, it’s so much better on mobile on the way to work.

How Are You Getting Cheap Kayo in 2025?

I use a pair of binoculars to look through my neighbour's window into their lounge room…

    • You’re a criminal?

      • +1

        It's legal. I've checked.

        • +4

Are you allowed to live near primary schools?

          • +2

@eccaz: Look up the relevant laws…

There is no right to privacy in Australia with the exception of collection and use of information.

            • @jv: You’re not a Drake fan by any chance are you?

              • +1

                @eccaz: No, I like Hens

                • @jv: So you can peep on their parties?

      Do you still split 50/50?

With this one simple trick you can get free OnlyFans

I only care for Kayo during the AFL season, and there never seems to be any deals that time of year (i wonder why…. /s ). So I share an account three ways with a couple of mates that support different teams so we don't clash.

… except when the teams play each other ;)

Kodi & the loop & iptv simple client has the channels.

    • How do I get started? Kodi is hardware, right?

      • +1

Software.. might want to look up some guides on Reddit

      • troy point. need an adblocker with his site though.

        • can't find anything on his website about it. just have a look on reddit r/addons4kodi

        • Thank you. Is it wise to use it only with a VPN?

          • +1

@Guybrush57: When I am streaming sports I use a vpn. install fen light on there with real debrid and you don't need to use a vpn with that.

          • @Guybrush57: It doesnt really matter. In Australia nobody cares about this stuff its too small scale.

      • This guide has everything you need to know about IPTV. You can get a service for 50 bucks a year from china through z2u and Alibaba. Works every well for the price. https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTVGroupBuy/comments/1hrhyx2/offic…

    • how's the picture quality and stream reliability?

      • +2

720/1080 streams probably 5-10mbps. Reliability is usually pretty good cause there is around 5 channels normally to choose from, with multiple streams of each channel. it only takes a few mins to set up and have a play around with, probably best checking it out for yourself.

    • Looking into Kodi - and as a newbie, I have a question - it looks like the loop is a free addon for Kodi, however when I search for info about IPTV add on, on google, results are of various IPTV's (Internet Protocol Television) addons - so my Q is: is IPTV simple client an actual add-on to Kodi? I'm trying to figure out whether what you've noted are all free, or a combo of paid/free.

This newbie rabbit hole I'm heading down also talks about the value of Real Debrid - which looks like is a (cheap) paid service

      • +1

iptv simple client is in the kodi repository. fen light and real debrid is all you need. umbrella repo has fen light in it.

        • Thanks for this - I'll look into guides on how to put Kodi, the loop, real debrid, fen light etc all together. I also found a post from 2023, which also talks about the above and additional stuff like Stremio and torrentio.

It all looks super interesting, and hopefully there isn't too much of a steep learning curve to all this. I've never felt a need to do the above, with all the posts on how to obtain cheap netflix, disney+ etc via various methods, such as VPN to different countries - however, there has been a huge crackdown.

          • @eltito: There's plenty of guides out there. r/addons4kodi is a good resource. the kodi repo is automatically there when you install kodi.

          • @eltito: You can go down that rabbit hole or just get an IPTV sub + Tivimate.

    • The issue is iptv has limited 4k or even higher fps 1080p options. So for example, if you have a decent TV, and like F1, it's so much better on Kayo unfortunately.

      • Same applies for any sports in 4K really. I've been using a IPTV sub for many, many years. Whilst 1080p 50/60fps channels are solid, even 4K with Kayo's crappy bitrate the NRL was a nice step up.

  • +2

AFL and NRL teams are increasingly bundling Kayo Subscriptions with digital memberships. Something to consider if you were planning on supporting your team with a membership.

    • +5

I've just checked all the teams, NRL is doing it for $240 for Kayo One (single screen, full HD). All AFL is $350 for Kayo Basic (2-screens, 4K).

Seems to be the cheapest at the moment.

      • Can you pay for All AFL using Kayo giftcards?

        • No, gift cards can only go to Kayo

  • Cancelled late last yr, will forgo it if no decent deal comes around
Crazy pricing for me to watch one sport (again, this is my use case)
Previously had been pretty good at offers via text for lapsed subscribers (had two accounts)
But may have to attend games this year to watch 😂
Wait for the AFL broadcast schedule to be released before making a decision imo

  • +1

I hit cancel on my subscription last week and was offered $10 off the $35 package for 6 months. That'll get me through most of the footy season.

  • Splitting an AFL club digital membership (Kayo Basic; 2 screens @ 4K) offer with a mate. $350 and includes a few promotional "freebies" from the club which I would have used/bought/spent anyway.

    • +1

Yeah, got a scarf and sme stickers … 😂😂

      • Got a $20 merch store credit and I do actually go to matches so I'll get some merch.

  • checked commbank yello offers on phone app, was $10 per month but seems it has been withdrawn recently (it comes back periodically for me)
    .

    • There was an offer that expired 31 Jan for Kayo One at like $15 I think.

  • I’m sharing via OzBargain dude but have only used it for AFL season so not sure what I’m going to do when it’s time to renew. I guess it would make sense to have my own and cancel at the end of the AFL season?

  • +1

Received a targeted offer from NAB - 12 months Kayo One at $15 pm, looks like it's targeted like the CBA one…rewards credit cards only

    • They offered you Kay1 instead of Kay0? Username doesn't check out.

    • Cheers I’ve got a few accounts with them, might have to hit them up.

  • +1

Remember a few years back when the F1 kayo promo code got leaked, it gave me 12 months of Kayo for free that was the best
