Betta Electrical has this for $249, combined with the 10% off promo code for signing up to their email newsletters you can get this for $225 delivered FREE. It’s the popular black one, and beats paying $299 at Shark. This fan even has a 24 hour battery run time! Perfect for the expected summer blackouts. It pulls up and out of the pedestal stand and a tripod folds out to turn into a desk fan. It has a remote too. The misting attachment makes for an amazing summer.

*Evaporative cooling only works well in hot LOW HUMIDITY areas.
Misting increases humidity - which makes you feel hotter in higher humidity areas. Like at OP's location Brisbane.
"Increasing humidity has a negative effect on evaporation, meaning that as humidity rises, the rate of evaporation decreases"
It's the evaporation of sweat / moisture on skin that make you feel cooler.
I have this fan and it's fantastic. Great control over oscillation, really quiet, and the top section pops off and runs on battery, plus it's really quiet. Misting is good too (but I'm in a low humidity area).
Great price
Also $40 for local postage
$223 delivered with this code 022461798
I paid full set included the misting kit for $199 during xmas sale, price matched at JB based on Myer sale price.
How’s the misting feature?
I never use that thing, mainly for inside the house
waiting for <200 again, missed it last time
Seems like a lot to pay for a ?AC fan still (not DC). Selling point seems to be the battery and misting component.
It's DC else it makes no sense running off battery.
Thanks for clarifying! Not bad then. Didn't specify on the specs.
It’s uv and rain resistant too, and has inbuilt battery. It can easily be turned from floor to pedestal fan and is relatively easily portable. It’s obviously not for everyone though.
Anyone know why we can't buy Dreo Air circulators here? I hear they're pretty good : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioI5h7zkt0E
I've been looking for them too, some of their other products also seem alright.
Can't find a OEM version either, so I'm intrigued as to why they're not selling them here.
I should have added that the 10% off code is the welcome email signup one, mods please feel free to update if needed.
You can edit it yourself?
Thanks, have just edited. Hope I did it correctly.
thx Op , however only 5% in the new sign up email , missing something ? also it only shows for product inquiry ( not add to cart ?!)
So it's a fan + 'bucket of water' attached to it ?
Had a look at this in store, I find that it is far less powerful than a Vornado 633DC for example. It is definitely quiet, has more features (portable and battery as well as interchangeable stand), yet I would not pay this price when you can generally get a Vornado for same or less.
Anyone that own this have comments to compare and validate / rebut my experience?
Well I can confirm 633dc is Great (when used in ideal conditions) , even though regularly gets scoffed at by cheap pedestal fan gang.
Since we're sharing our fan purchases that has nothing to do with this post, i got this for $26
🤣 good deal
Can't actually place an order - says to fill out a form and a store will contact me. Screw that!
Does anyone get 24hr battery life out of it? I assume that’s on the lowest setting. I run it at 3/4 and only get a couple hours of battery runtime
Correct I mostly on full 5 lights highest and total for just a few hours battery indicator already red! But it is pretty good and quiet to let it sit at the end of bed on floor blowing up while sleeping, save me using aircond instead
is this the best way to use it? Im still trying to figure out the optimal way of using it. My room gets hot and only the living room has an AC unit.
I've tried running the AC and using the fan pointing upwards to push air to the two rooms.
Same…I can only get maybe 3-4 hours at medium speed before the battery runs out. To get 24 hour battery life would be at the lowest setting I would think.
Only in the way out had a misting attachment - the blades and housing design are totally different, which changes how the air moves.
looks like you can use "WELCOME10" to purchase a $250 giftcard from Shark for $225, and then use the same code to purchase Fan with Misting Attachment worth $299 for $270, so you will end up paying $245.
I see the white colour is only available from their official website, so if you are looking to buy a white oe, this might be a a good option i guessI just tried to purchase a giftcard using WELCOME10, but the site will not allow it, saying discount codes cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
Sorry, I only tested it by adding to cart and applying discount. Didn't checkout yet
Yes I note that it works at checkout, but doesnt allow it when it comes to payment. If you have signed up for the WELCOME discount, I noticed a got an email the next day with a 15% off code, incase you are looking to purchase, this would be worth doing.
Is this actually any good?
