  • Are these any good? Been eyeing the 2L

https://www.bunnings.com.au/marquee-1-5l-white-insulated-dri… best one you can get. Metal. Insulated. Dishwasher safe.

wouldnt recommend, mine had the bottom rusty and falling off in a couple months

      • +2

I would recommend. It is as good as some of the decor bottles of similar sized mentioned above in my experience.
The only issue ive found is that the o rings in the lid part come off in the dish washer and without them it leaks.
I did a comparison with a workmate who had a slightly bigger yeti(2-2.5L). We filled them both with ice. Then to the top with chilled water. 24 hours later both plenty of ice and water. 48 hours later both still had ice. 72 hours later i had less ice. Then about 84 hours later i had little ice left and the yeti was still icy.
So if you want the water cold 3 days from filling it up spend 10x more. If you lose bottles like i do every 12 months then get this one.
Ive got 2 currently and both are 1ish years old. Plenty of scratches and little paint on the bottom. No rust.

          Get this.

It fits the Decor 1.2L one.

        • Is dishwasher enough? I always think you need bottle brush

          • @Raj09: I think so. I only ever use water so dont have any residue flavours left in it and it doesnt get any internal.build up that i can notice.

          • +1

@Raj09: Just wash it with boiling water takes 3 mins why put in a dishwasher?

      Worth it.

    • 2l

I might grab one if it’s in stock at my local.

    • I got the Decor 2L bottle during the last sale a month ago, and it's been great. The design feels well thought out, it fits massive ice cubes, and I don't have to fill it up as much.

If you're looking to pick one up in store, note that it may be in one of two different sections. It'll be either down the aisles with all the cookware & food containers, or it'll be in a separate "back to school" section.

  • Which ones are dishwasher safe?

I got one of these and can recommend - I spent a bomb on camelback and contigo ones which I lost , saw this at Cole’s one day and thought $10 why not. Turns out to be my most used bottle of all time.

    • Thanks! Did you read the 1-star review of it? I think they actually meant to give it 5-stars

    • Gather you got the purple one?

Just spend $$$ and get a YETI and keep it for life.

    • +1

Wont be my lifetime. Go through bottles about one every year or so. Just forget them sometimes.
Ive also done a comparison test between the bunnings version and a yeti. For day to day use you wont notice a difference between these bottles and a yeti.

      • +1

I understand they are expensive but for me i prefer to buy something and keep it for a long time, and from my experience YETI bottles are amazing quality and pretty much indestructable. Can buy replacement lids too, but none of this matters if you lose them all the time.

    • To be the biggest upside of the yeti is easily cleanable lids. Ones I've had in the past, oasis, CamelBak, the lids have such small nooks and crannies that I can't get rid of the gunk that builds up

    • +1

I've been spending just $ on decor bottles, and keeping them for life.

If something breaks, they sell parts online for reasonable prices.

  • +1

If the big 2L is sold out for you worth considering this one for cheaper, got it with free delivery through Onepass

The 2L decor has a straw function - could be a deal maker/breaker for some

    • +1

I recently got one of the smaller 960ml bottles that has a straw and that has performed adequately

    • Ive used a few for kids sports days. They work ok, not as good as some of the decor bottles mention above of similar sized. Good for maybe outings of a few hours. Not for an entire day.

  • I bought the Decor Quad Bands Tritan Water Drink Bottle 750mL last week. This morning I found a puddle of water under it in the fridge. Lay the bottle on its side so it can't leak or just don't buy this garbage.

    I'm returning mine tomorrow.

    • Not to mention the microplastics and xenoestrogens in the water.
