Is this fake Lego for the price of real Lego?

    • It's an alternative to Lego. They are top quality pieces and models. In some cases they are better representations and better construction than their Lego counterparts.

As per this model, it's officially licensed by Red Bull. Alfa Romeo and Kick Sauber are also officially licensed with them. Those contructors don't just associate themselves with anyone. I'd recommend checking out the rest of their site and Youtube reviews if you're concerned about quality or legitimacy.

You can generally grab these on aliexpress etc - for a fraction of the price. I've bought a few "fake legos" and they have been great

Take the Checo Challenge: completely rebuild it in the 3 hours between FP3 and Quali

    • +3

only to go out in Q1, then finish P13 while your team mate finishes in the top 3

      • +2

Make sure to mention that it was the “team” that didn’t perform well, never say “I”.

        • Lance Stroll reporting in

    • And then rebuild it after lap 3 of the sprint in time for the main race.

  • I bought the kick sauber kit. Stoked.

    • Looks nice.. CADA also make a kit for alfa romeo

The red and white alfa has been the nicest livery I've seen in a while.

I bought this from YWOBB for half that price. It's a licenced product from RASTAR. The same company also make the f1 toy cars you see at Kmart.

For a bricks set I think it's overly complicated and pain in the ass to put together. Manual was okay but can be tricky to differentiate between dark blue and black pieces. Tyre logos are prone to flaking away.

Also need to consider lego are coming out with this bad boy soon - https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/oracle-red-bull-racing-rb…

    Manual transmission or auto transmission?

    • F1 cars have been using automatic since the late 80's with manuals completely phased out in the 90's.

      • F1 cars have always been, and still remain, manual.

        • I mean automatic clutch, I should clarify.

    Engine with Rotating Pistons

Didn't know F1's used wankel engines.
