Does anyone know where I can buy the Wholegrain Beef in person in Melbourne? All I can find is chicken :(

$2 per packet is a deal?

      Bad math

      • Keeping it simple…sub & save still doesn't make it the usual 5 packs 2 min noodles (Aldi etc) for $2 or less.

        Or is this 15 x 5 packs?

        • You get a total of 30 individually packed noodles.
Which works out to be $0.45 (assuming S&S) per individual packet.

          • @settings: Bahaha…just realised what I did… clearly need more caffeine..

But still just above par for thr course (ie. I work off 5 packs for $2)

            • @tunzafun001: Yeah fair point. Aldi has good prices.

              • @settings: Home brand noodles are also $2 at Coles/Woolworths for a 5 pack FYI.

@hamza23: Goes alright with a small can of tuna in oil… I call it '2 minute Tunals'.

Protein and carbs lunch fill for $1 a day.

                  • @tunzafun001: I’ve never tried 2 minute noodles and tuna. Do you just use regular tuna?

@jallen89: Pretty much. I go with the tuna in oil option. Chicken noodles. Only half the salt required. Works for me.

  • Terrible stuff, wouldn’t eat them even if they were free

  • Try this variant - Maggi Masala (from India): https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/742654. It's the best ever, and suitable for vegetarians too.

Remember when Maggi noodles were the best?

    • +1

      Back in the 90s yeah

      • I miss them :(

        • They had better seasoning, msg etc…. Then they decided to get healthy.

I remember actually going around and buying dozens of the old stock in the stores that still had it, but of course that is long gone now.

Sigh they really were the best.

I think if you buy them from asian food stores they still have the MSG etc.

          • @Misha Bakunin: Just buy the Malaysian ones, they still have all the good stuff that used to be in the Aussie ones.
Look for Maggi Mi Ayam at your local Asian grocery shop, about $2.99 for a 5 pack. Same green colour, but much bolder taste.

          • @Misha Bakunin: Is the 90s beef on sale anywhere or under a different name?

  • sweet - Got it - thank you

  • I think the wholegrain chicken has gone up in price, it's $17.64 now

  • thanks, looks good!

  • Just received the whole grain beef… they are short dated expiry May 2025!

Thats a lot of noods to eat in a short time. :(
