LG OLED C4 77" TV

G'day all,
I'm looking at getting an LG C4 77" but pricing since seems to currently be retail, or just below ~$4-5k.
Doing a search on OzB shows that it has been around $3.5k a few times now, but I'm not sure if we will see that price again. I expect prices to come down a little due to the C5 incoming in a few months, but not sure how long away a decent sale is.
I am needing to buy within probably the next 2 weeks. Ideally something around 4k and then get JB Hi-Fi to price match.

Any ideas on what price we will see this TV at in the very near future?

    for LG TVs, big discounts typically occur around April (when their next gen series become available for purchase), June (EoFY sale), November (Black Friday sale), otherwise don't expect prices to drop outside of these windows.
    I bought mine (C4 77") for around 4.1k during Oct 2024.

      Boxing Day too. I got a 77" G4 for $5.2k delivered from Good Guys. Included both the wall mounting bracket and a tabletop stand. Not that you'd want to wait another 11 months for a deal. ;-)

      Still, you can use this value as a data point for how big a discount is possible on flagship LG OLEDs.

    I’ve been looking at the 42” C4 and they’ve been at $2199, but as of just last week it looks like they’ve all dropped to $1695…. One site as low as $1499. This might be as low as they go now. C5 unveiled 2 weeks ago… now the stock clearance begins.

    Will they drop lower…?

    If you prefer jbhifi for gc or any other reason, go instore and ask for a deal. Try a few stores , you will find someone willing to do a deal. Not sure if it will be $3,500 but you can aim for about $3800-$4000 easily.

      I’ve tried on the chat and they go to around $5500 which is still way off in my mind. I’d be ok with ~$4000

        Chat calls far higher price than in shop. Just walk in to your local jbs and ask around. Pretty sure they will get you something like $3800.

          I feel like they wont come that low especially given the current list price and ill get the 'its not on promotion' spin..
          sounds like I need to know someone who works there..

            Nope. Just walk in and ask. If they say no, try the next JB hifi store…

    I got a box damaged 75 inch Bravia 7 last night off the Sony eBay $2748 delivered. Not the best price it’s been but I couldn’t see the 77” oled coming down.

    The Bravia was my second choice so I’m still very excited and happy with purchase.

    Update, ended up getting a 77” C4 for about $3900 using discounted GC’s
    Happy with that at, thanks everyone for your input!
