Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to port my number from Telstra to Aldi, and I’ve run into some issues, hoping I can get some advice, if anyone has experienced a similar situation.
Here’s my dilemma:
My current Telstra plan is due to be renewed tomorrow, so I started the porting process today. I have managed to follow through the activation process to the point of "number transfer verification" and I am unable to receive a SMS verification code from Aldi. I tried to cancel the order but the page is completely stalled.
My attempts to troubleshoot this situation:
Contacted Aldi customer service and they cancelled my activation request.
I restarted my phone.
I attempted my activation process again a few hours later on a different PC. This time when I get to the step of sending the verification code, it now says "pending activation already exists." I have contacted Aldi customer service again to ask why my activation process is still pending if they have cancelled it. They are NOT very helpful and said they will cancel it and to try the process again later!
Has anyone had issues porting to Aldi Mobile? Any advice on how to resolve this situation is welcome.

Aldi are Telstra wholesale. My understanding is it's like an internal transfer and does not always go well.
Suggestions here before have been to port to optus/voda and then back in via Aldi.
