    Worked for me. Thanks OP

  • Says expired for me too and dates from last year!

    • Did you try activating it in the app?

  • +2

    worked in the app
    im flying on friday

    • Same flying Bris - Syd return Thursday - Monday hopefully works ok.

      • Will it work for pre-existing bookings? Flying Monday.

"Ticketed during the promotion period in a fare class that normally accrues status credits"

No, it wont work on pre-existing bookings. (I'm in the same boat as you.)

    Worked in the app
    Thanks OP

  • How are people seeing this in the app? I am a member of both Business Flyer and Velocity but can't see it. I would normally just login to business flyer to book a flight.

Try doing it via Velocity Desktop. It is visible under your Velocity Offers.

      • Thanks, I was digging around in the Business portal but it was in my normal Virgin/Velocity offers page.

This could be the last hurrah (albeit for ABN customers) before their first major devaluation on 1/4/2025.

    • Is this just for the status changes (change from flight/ticket type to spend) or is there something else?

      • Spend becomes 1 SC per $12 or $24 unless you made a booking before 1/04/2025.

If you travel using partner airlines, then major SC/Points devaluation but that doesn't start 1 October 2025 and that is based on Flight (any flight flown from 1 Oct will fall into new rules), not when the booking was made.

Cheers OP. Will put me ~200 short of plat with upcoming trips

    • I'm still 11 SCs short after this promo to keep Platinum for another year. Looks like its back to Gold me which I don't mind but will def miss the free Inflight Wifi :(

        Do a cheap status run.

The free seat selection for front row and emergency exit row is well worth it.

      • +1

If it's only 11 SCs, do a quick cheap run. Single trip to Sydney would get you 15 SCs.

  • I thought that the free inflight wifi was a gold level perk? I’ve only used it once for a giggle.

    • +1

No, it's a Platinum or Business class perk.

      • And its never on flights between ADL and PER. We get the classy old Tiger Airbus with no business, no Econ X, and no entertainment.
It's a poo product IMO and they still charge a premium price thanks to FIFO.

Found the direct link on the Virgin Australia homepage.

    https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/offer?promo_code=B2BJA…

    Enjoy! :)

  • If I don't have an existing Velocity business account / ABN linked, can I use someone elses to ensure I get the bonus SC?

    • +1

AFAIK it won't work as this is linked to your Velocity FF. Using some one else's VFF/ Business account would make them eligible for the offer.

    • It’s not just adding an ABN to booking. They need to set up Velocity business account and list you as a traveler (can be anyone, really), then you should get SC bonus.
