Older reviews had issues with "Sony glue" used for strain relief on connections that would deteriorate over time and become conductive causing bad things to happen. New stock shouldn't have this AFAIK.

    Yeah I don't understand it either.

    I'm planning to keep an eye on the second market in July. I'm hoping there will be some enterprise gear discarded then, that just needs a clean and a new battery
