I was looking on the BigW online website and saw that you now have to spend $150 to get free shipping instead of $50. Trust them to increase the price at around Christmas time so they can gain more money. Does anyone know why they increased the price?

Considering many other stores have free delivery for much less minimum spend it is a pretty poor move. Surfstitch provides free next day courier delivery and you only have to spend $10.
Last time I ordered from styletread, they gave me free 3 hour sydney delivery and that was on a sale item. $150 is far too high.
Different businesses. Different cost structures and margins. Clothing stores have higher margins then department stores. Shipping is never free to a.consumer. It's worked into the price.
At least it's not as bad as DSE, who've just raised their free shipping threshold from $100 to $250 ouch..
Because they couldn't justify the business cost of the old policy? Pretty obvious I would have thought.
