Not sure about you guys think I feel these backpacks are overrated
I've got the Ulvo 30 and find it exceptional. For me, the Kanken is kinda gimmicky, but each to their own.
For a 16L backpack that is certainly pricey.
These are incredibly uncomfortable if you actually put stuff in them. But hey, how else am I supposed to carry my AirPods and existential dread while looking effortlessly cool at the local farmers' market?
Came to say that and ugly.
The appeal is that it's Swedish or whatever and that it's popular there.
"Look at me, I am cultured because I have this bag from Sweden or whatever, and they are exceptionally cultured over there" etc.
In the end, it's a basic backpack design… BUT, and this an important but, the bag has that red round logo with that Swedish writing, with the extra circles and dots… THAT is key.
Really, a status symbol.
These are terrible backpacks. Expensive because of the popular brand name. If you care about your spine or decent laptop protection look elsewhere.
Just get the knockoff if you kinda want this. It looks nice too.

Likely, but shows you how much is the brand name vs materials and cost plus the manufacturer to make a profit.
Since a lot of stuff is made there, they make stuff to sell locally too. It's cheaper to make more in their own factories than for a fake factory to be setup to make knockoffs.
Any time I've been to Vietnam buying branded products was always cheap. I have under armour tshirts from there that lasted better than ones I bought here in Australia.
That being said some reps these days are even better than retails (especially sneakers)

They make a great man bag if you get the smaller one. Found mine in a market in SE Asia. Haggled to save myself $2.00AUD, I walked away from a few sellers until one would bite.
I can imagine this being uncomfortable as a backpack, it doesn't have the design that screams backpack and comfortableness.
