      Did someone say beer?

      • Did you say Beer or Deer?

        • I think he said Bear

          • @SJDR: oh dear, not again….

    • I was going to say it Looks expensive but decided to wait until at least one comment.

    • Skippy is that you?

Will this keep fat horny ghosts away?

    • Oh wow i thought it was only me

30c per unit when purchasing +10,000 units via Dhgate.

What's an advantage of bladeless relative to blademores?

    • +23

Now you can defy your parents and put your dick in it.

    • +2

it's essentially quieter because the fans are in the base of the unit inside a cover

      • Takes up less space too I guess

      • +8

Not necessarily… I've tried loads of these. The little fan in the base has to run really, really fast if you want higher airflow so the sound gets annoyingly loud and higher pitched. Big normal blades fans might generate a choppier noise, but it'll be lower pitched. Both have tradeoffs.

I find these bladeless fans okay for lower airflow situations.

      • +1

Defintely not quieter. I bought an Anko one from Kmart and it's way noisier compared to their blade fans

    • Kids safe

I think their spacebar was broken when they typed up the manual…

Guessing just a generic Chinese fan marked up on Amazon… A lot of free product Vine reviews, plus this and this similarly voiced video review both comparing it to the "3 times the price Dyson" :D

    • +4

Those two video reviews are suspiciously similar, aren't they - they both also happen to have the same Dyson model that they have positioned for comparison in the exact same way, both have an annoying habit of clicking the remote with the same frequency and same hand position. and the both refer to three speed 'modals' - "High, Low and Three". The manual says eight speeds and another reveiwer says ten speeds, so…

And did the first video review say he caught a cold from his Dyson fan one night, so he bought the Storm Hero instead?!

1.5m cord might be a deal breaker with the advice not to use an extension cable :(

Thanks, ordered. Mainly due to the marketing slogan. 'Big Wind. Tiny Noise.'

  • But why isn’t it $700?

    • +3

Because there is no R and D cost.

  • +8

I have this one - https://amzn.asia/d/dEtVsmR - from the same company. Have been using it for 3 months now and can say that the airflow is not that great. You have to be straight in front of the fan to feel any airflow.

    • +1

This. Perfect for a bedside fan, however that's pretty much it. Quiet though…

    • How much war that

  • Has anyone seen any details on power consumption, please?
The sticker on the bottom just says 35W (I think).

    • 35w? A folding hand fan would cool you down much better than this.

      • -2

dysons run at about 2000W i believe..

        • +2

Come on. There is absolutely no way that a Dyson fan runs 2000W. That's the same as a high power heater. Fans typically run 50W or less.

        • That would be an aircon instead.

  • thanks for post Fat Horny Ghost

Perfect height to keep me knee-caps cool in the summer! Thanks!

  • Bought this fan for $99, the downside is the height is really low. Other than that it has great power

  • This or circular fan?

Edit: 7 news had a review of it.

      Wow olivia

      • You got a story to share? Forget to tick the buy-2-save-5%. RIP

    • +5

That is not a review…it's an editorial from which 7 gets commission

      • Now I see what Olivia means. If it's decent for getting details, also a youtuber or ozb can earn commision through links.

    • +1

The link you provided follows to an advertisement from Channel 7, where the editorial staff outright admit they are making a commission based of the sales from their advertisement of it.

  • +3

Page 7 of the manual says "Please do not use it in high temperature"!

    • The sauna isn't recommended.

  • +1

I read that as Storm Hero Badass Tower Fan. Definitely need to sleep.

  • This or Kmart Bladeless?

  • +1

    Dramatic name

    • +1

Fan doesn’t cool down your room but your body instead.

      • Fan speeds up the airflow (while also producing a bit of extra heat).

        • That is true, motor produces heat but negligible.
