Just curious when purchasing from Amazon uk to Australian from a seller not Amazon directly say you had wrong item sent or item was faulty or damaged in. Transit etc who pays for return of product as I’m sure it would not be cheap to return.
Not that I have this issue etc just curious I know Amazon is great to deal with and would sort this out asap but regarding a seller have sellers rules to follow and does Amazon step in and assist.
Reason I’m looking to order from a seller as the item through Amazon au from Amazon uk is $120 more than the seller.
The seller has 25% off and even this includes shipping costs to Australia.
Obviously shipping will not be as quick as through Amazon au from Amazon uk being prime etc.
But for me the savings is well worth it.
It just shows how much Amazon is trying to rip us off here in Australia as the item through amazon au is just higher than any place.
If Amazon au had it for similar price i would jump on it for sure but the item of interest is not worth $120 more.
I know I purchased vr cases x3 for Xmas gifts months prior and never till after Xmas noticed I never got what was advertised its was similar bit a different thing, seller wanted me to send it back I argued back and forth it’s not my fault you sent wrong item.
They sort of did the job but as said a poor version of what i should have got.
They even offered a 20% refund which i refused.
I then complained to Amazon au who said i had to return and after getting cut off a few times offered half what I paid for them yes from Amazon themselves not seller they even said they wanted to take this further with seller and to get a full refund but I said I am sort of ok with what I have sort of does the job but its not what I paid for but I said the half refund would be ok with me and I just keep them.
Seller then was all worried going on about refund and not returning them etc but I said Amazon part refunded me and sorted it out.
But I said I will give him negative feedback as it was a joke how this was handled by them etc.
This was obviously a seller on Amazon au I believe shipped by seller.
This I’m talking about in my post here is purchasing an item from Amazon uk to me from seller and what are my rights if goes pear shaped does Amazon help out be it I contact Amazon au or Amazon uk I will be buying off Amazon uk so suspect uk Amazon would be ones to deal with
If you have Amazon prime which I do recommend then I believe Amazon will cover your return costs provided you buy through Amazon. Check the return policy before purchasing. I have purchased many items from overseas shipped through Amazon. I’ve returned 2 of those and Amazon. Covered the cost.
I have heard they are changing the policy though so best to contact Amazon and double check
