Interesting, am trying the Trident brand one, find it to sweet.
Try the Aldi one.
Too expensive now as well.
I wouldn’t support them
How come?
Turned on their supplier, their supplier being 90% of why they are popular.
10% red cock sauce jokes.
Explain? How did they turned their back on their supplier?
@TsunamiInTheHouse: Sounds like any other commercial relationship.
This is not chilli enough. Any other recommendations?
How do you rate this one against the new chilli supplier Sriracha??
Oh boy… Samyang… GG…
https://www.amazon.com.au/Carolina-Reaper-Hottest-Culleys-Ze… Its got some kick but I've had better. really good for the price though
Try sriracha sauce from Thailand that's the original.
No thanks. No longer the same as what it used to be.
Would rather use this instead
https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/168680/abc…This is some seriously yummy hot sauce. wish it wasn't as sweet though.
This all the way!
Don't support these guys anymore…
why? what happened? I remember these were best among the few i tried earlier but it's been long that I purchased it again.
Firstly the taste isn't the same after they changed from their local california farm partner of 30 years to chinese chillis.
Moreover they screwed over said partner in the process and got found liable in court.Oh, seems like their new generation is coming in power and making random stupid decisions.
I thought the real brand went to clear bottles to show the chilli colour is correct?
Meh way overpriced. If I'm paying this much I might as well pay a little more and get some real hot sauce. The kind shown in hot ones.
This is still good, but agree with the general sentiment. I quite like the tabasco branded sriracha, it's good.
Otherwise, the Cholula chipotle hot sauce is great. Not too hot, but heaps of flavour.
(Disregard any suggestions if you like hot sauce hot enough to melt your face off!)
I wouldn’t say they are made from the highest quality ingredients anymore. They are so desperate now, that they are happy to go to any suppliers that they could find.
After reading the comments but still wanting some sriracha i ended up going with yellow for a change.
https://www.bonappetit.com/story/three-mountains-yellow-srir…
Was on amazon for ~$10 for ~800gr
Worth a try for the price.
@Duff5000 wonder what yellow like
Currently got Pantai (Thailand), very similar to the OG but even that is being discontinued due to supply issues (should have stocked up at Coles).
Not going to bother with Huy Fong either unless it's cheaper, sounds disappointing now.
I'll let you know when i get it.
The last couple of years the coconut sriracha has been our go to (more so than the standard red) : https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/97063/mari…
On sale at the moment.
Ads a nice kick to pretty much anything. Nice taste as well.
Cheers, sounds interesting.
yeah I've got that before goes good on salads and good kick still.
Bit more like a mayo but much healthier (and surprisingly low in fat).
The green one is good for salads too.
Doesn't taste the same anymore since they changed their chilli supplier
