Issues with airlines with the 81?
No issues ever, just find 81cm a tad too big for my liking
Usually no issues with airlines, but can have issues with taxis/ubers, trains, busses, etc.
Smaller 75cm is the sweet spot, 81cm is just too big.

Does the dimension (169cm) exceed the check in limit of many airlines (158cm)?

Dimensions not an issue but easy to go over the weight limit if packed too full. 75 cm is the sweet spot in my experience
With my older luggages that we're heavier i had to be careful what to pack but with these lighter ones I often struggle to go over 23kg even when it's full.
@datafellows: I use packing cells, which allow me to pack heaps more into the suitcase. Last trip it weighed 28kg!

I got this and hated the single stick. Much too hard to push around. Not worth the weight saving. Ended up getting the Samsonite upscape instead. Better price to performance, and double stick on the handle makes it so much easier to wheel around.
Yeah my cosmolite is single stick, and i dont really like it, feels like it could break off at any time when turning it.
But for this price its hard to pass up since i need another one
