DATUM 40m Laser Distance Measurer DTLDM40 $49 (Was $89) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ $99 Order) @ Total Tools

Never used this brand so can't comment on it, but specs look good. Showing $6.44 delivery for me to Canberra.

Personally I just use a basic Dewalt 16M, does what I need, is rechargeable and is very compact. I just don't need all the features like the one in this post offers. Here is a link to the Dewalt if anyone is interested. https://www.totaltools.com.au/176287-dewalt-16m-rangefinder-…

  • Nice find. Unfortunately I already spent an extra $20 getting the Bosch version of this as someone put the one I had "somewhere safe". https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006870105325.html

    • Oh, that looks like a good price for a Bosch

      • It’s AliExpress, so it could also be a bad price for a B0sch

  • Extremely overpriced. The sale price is where the actual cost should be at. Amazon devices are better priced. I got one from eBay recently which was even cheaper with comparable functions

Which one do you recommend? Can you link the one you got?

      • I've owned 4-5 different ones, and for now I'm a fan of the SNDWAY SW-100G since the green laser is easier to see in bright places, and it isn't too expensive.

  • i though green lasers were all the rage nowadays

Total Tools regularly hold Open days (where I am in Wa, usually every 3months), and these are almost always discounted in the bargain bins. I bought this same model for about $30.

To top it off, they also have free beer, softies and pizza, free door prizes etc.
My daughter (5 at the time) won an esky on wheels! Start 'em young!

As for the distance meter, I can't really comment, as mine is still in it's packaging a year later.
