    no plumber required!

Completely false. Bidets need to be installed by a plumber to prevent dodgy installs resulting in literal shit backflowing into yours and your neighbors drinking water.

    • +1

Honestly I'd love to see the install instructions for it

    • -2

why you need a guy in Australia for everything?
I wonder how other countries survive?

In this setup there is zero risk of backflow

All those idiotic australian regulation forbidding even simplest DIY is just to maintain employment of tradies

Since when does a toilet/bidet seat cover need a plumber to install?

      • +2

Why does it matter? This is the law now.

        • -6

Rubbish - tell me where the law states that.
When you find it then tell Bunnings as they provide instructions for the DIY installation.

            @Ocker:

In Australia, the installation of bidet products connected to the drinking water supply must be undertaken by a licensed plumber. This ensures that the installation complies with the Plumbing Code of Australia, and the appropriate cross-connection protection is provided. To be legally installed in Australia, certain plumbing and drainage products, including bidet products, must be certified through the WaterMark Certification Scheme, which is administered by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB).

@PainToad: I wonder what kind of budget those tradies organizations spend on pushing those nonsensical regulations and then deploying trolls on every possible forum to scare public into using their trivial services which is 2 min jobs and pay hundreds of dollars

              • @kashirin: Could be lobbied or amended by the water corporation for the area

              • @kashirin:

then deploying trolls on every possible forum

lol yep you caught me out. I’m an undercover spy for Big Plumbing.

Seriously, can we not make absolutely everything a conspiracy theory just because you don’t like it 🤣

            • @PainToad: OP's post specifically states it is for a bidet seat - not the bidet itself.

    • Why exactly am I getting downvoted?

Because you don't like hearing something? That doesn't make it not true snowflakes.

      • because you're tradies troll

        • Not a tradie. Never been a tradie. Don’t know any tradies.

Just someone who follows the law.

  • does it need a splitter?

Also similar options cheaper elsewhere as mentioned above by Plutolio, no bargain here.
