What is the cheapest way for me to get my Google Home devices to play a specific song.
Like, “Hey Google, play “I Was Alive by Beartooth”. I want that specific song played, not “Ok sure, here's a radio station you might enjoy”.
I used to use the YouTube Premium India/Turkey price hack to get YTP family plans for $5pm, but that's all dried up now.
I have switched to ad free versions of YouTube on the TV and that works great.
But I am getting stupidly angry over not being able to play a specific song when I'm busy doing other things and can't cast a song to the speaker. Even though that now seems to be broken on my apps.

Spotify is the answer.
but spotify has the same pricing as youtube premium…. but doesnt come with a video service like youtube?
that doesn't change the answer to your question.
xmanager is the cracked version.
maybe it'll work with thatdoes xmanager work through google home devices?
they dont list it as a featureShort answer no, you can however open the app find the song and then cast it from you mobile device.

This still works for other countries, higher than India/Turkey but cheaper than Aus. I'm on Algeria for ~$18 AUD per month for a family of 6.
So what you're saying is that you'd like to have premium features from behind a subscription paywall, but without paying for them?
The title says "cheapest way". It doesn't mean free …
I don't have Google Home speaker anymore. I have tried from my android phone with YouTube Music and VPN installed. I use NordVPN and choose Algeria server. Albania server doesn't work for this trick. If you have other VPN, you could try it. If you don't have VPN, usually there's around 100% or almost 100% cashback deals for VPN in Ozb.
I have tried using Hey Google (Google Assistant) from my phone to play certain songs and it works. But no background play as I don't use YouTube Premium. YouTube background Play works in Brave and Firefox browser in android and Windows computer for example. So, I don't feel the need to pay for YouTube Premium ;-)
For you, maybe need to put VPN in the router as you want to use Google Home Speaker, but only certain routers can do this. Otherwise just use your phone …

The first question is, do you have an mp3 file of every song you would ever want to play?
If so, there are numerous options that could achieve what I think is your desired aim …
It should work with Spotify premium.
