  • Do the displays connect via those front usb-c ports?

    • There is a HDMI port on the back and seems like a USB-C to DisplayPort Adapter is included for a second monitor

    • It looks like the front 2 USB-C ports are data only. Thunderbolt 3 docks typically have one video stream sent to a HDMI or DP port and another stream to a USB-C TBT3 daisychain port.

  • I've been looking for a decent, powered docking station. Thanks, Hunta01!

  • How about a non-Thunderbolt, preferably with 2x Display Port dock?

  • Damn, just got one for 149 at Amazon a few days ago, and that was the cheapest back then.

Set it up this morning, with 1 monitor that is very old using a VGA -> HDMI cable and a modern one using a DVI -> Thunderbolt/USB-C cable

I believe this model supports Thunderbolt 3 and my laptop has Thunderbolt 4 ports. It may not support Thunderbolt 1/2 ports as I recall reading this in a forum somewhere.

I have an old Caldigit TS1 docking station that wouldn't power up and was contemplating buying a new power supply when I found out about Thunderbolt 3/4 not supporting 1/2 on Windows.

So I took the plunge and have no regrets in the 10 minutes I tested it this morning
