Can you share a link for this? The ones Im finding on amazon are a bit more expensive. Thanks

For some reason the Amazon link I posted was detected as as affiliate/referral spam and was deleted.

Google "Amazon Essentials Men's Long-Sleeve Quick-Dry UPF 50 Swim Tee". I chose Green, Large and got $24.

  • Nonetheless these are good value and fit for purpose.

  • I have these. good for mowing lawns during summer. I don't know how to fish so never used for that.

    • Thank you for your comment! Yes, the shirts provide excellent sun protection for any outdoor activity, they will keep you cool whether it’s gardening, hiking, or simply enjoying a day at the park during those hot summer months.

Dumb question, but aren't all clothes somewhat SPF50? Like the rays can't penetrate through the cloth?

    • Hello montorola, we appreciate for your comments. That’s a great question. Generally, while clothing does provide some level of protection against UV rays, it’s not accurate to say that all clothes are equivalent to SPF 50. Standard clothing typically does not have SPF 50 protection specifically added. Shirts with SPF 50+ can block 98% harmful UVA/UVB rays, and the most immediate feeling is to make you cooler in the summer!

    • UPF and SPF are different, I believe. And to claim a rating the clothing needs to have been properly tested.
So your normal t shirts may have a SPF50 rating, but they haven't been tested to be able to advertise the rating.

    • Yes, with a few obvious exceptions like very thin seethrough clothes or clothes with very sparse threading (some linens).
