KFC - Swapping Elements

I have always been able to swap elements of my KFC since the early 2000s, such as the 375ml Pepsi for a small chips or small potato and gravy.

Now it seems very rare that I can do this. Usually a young kid looks at me with a blank look, before "attempting" for a couple of minutes and saying "it doesn't look like you can".

Anyone had any luck or any employees that know what's going on?

I seldom order at the counter nowadays, I'm using the app 99% of the time

The app sometimes allows you to swap out stuff (depending on the menu item you order), eg. a dinner roll for a small chips or a coleslaw for a potato and gravy

I never has issue swapping, I even manage to swap a item that I accidentally swap by the app at the counter lol

375ml Pepsi for a small chips or small potato and gravy.

Can do for chips, it is a button on the register - I am employed with kfc

The workers at my local KFCs all seem stoned. I wouldn't put too many demands on them like using the POS in unconventional ways. Better to order through the app.

    • mine are the same, kfc, maccas and hjs, all stoners.
the only good place around is gyg

    • Same here. Try giving them cash where you give them some extra coins so you get a note back.

I’m still getting over the fact that you order at the register. You get way better deals on the app

  • who orders fast food face2face anymore, theres an app for that

Normally they allow a switcharoo if the item you ask for is roughly the same or cheaper.
Small chips are cheaper than a can of Pepsi but potato and gravy is pretty expensive (never understood why it's so expensive).
