Just cause 2 is pretty good, but i loved 3. Beautiful graphics and fun to fly around with the wingsuit.

All 4 are often on sale and always cheaper. 4 goes for about 5 bucks on a good sale. 3 goes for about 3 bucks max. 1 and 2 are always under 2 bucks.

    Rating wise though
1: fun in the day, immediately irrelevant when 2 dropped, skip it
    2: fantastic, great fun game
3: even better because of wingsuit which changes everything. But it's like 50gb versus the 4 or so of the 2nd game
4: more of the same, eh, it's fine, pick 3 or 4 and you'll have fun, 4 ran a bit better than 3 on consoles in the day but it means nothing now a generation later and at all here since this is PC

    • which ones the most fun for pc?

      • Prob go 4 imo

4 may be, but for me personally I never got into it.

I'd say 3 would be the go. Runs flawless on the steam deck with no settings tweaks so if you've got equivalent or better specs it'll run great. Visuals are still quite nice, the wingsuit and grapple are a match made in heaven. Apparently there's mods to extend the grapple reach but I've never done that.

Anyway 2 is great but the wingsuit they added in 3 really does make going back to 2 hard, unless youre going for nostalgia, and if you're not, well, I'd just go to 3.

Buy 3 is the short version. Good graphics, great gameplay, around 50gb install, runs great (it ran like ass on Xbox one in the day, and pretty shit on the PS4 too), well worth it for a few bucks. DLC isn't necessary though so I'd say just wait on the bog standard edition to go on sale for 3 bucks or so, it basically always is.

DLC for 3 certainly helps, especially the eDEN Spark.

Just Cause 3 was a buggy and crashy piece of shit on consoles that never got fixed, so hopefully it's better on PC.

    Loved the game though.

Just Cause 4 just made things too complicated for my small brain so wasn't as fun.

    • +1

      I agree with everything.

3 runs great on the Series consoles now though which is nice, also more or less flawless performance on the Steam Deck for me so that's nice.

I remember the (profanity) slideshows you'd end up with when blowing up some bases on Xbox One in the day. Genuinely bought 4 simply because it ran better on Xbone, once the Series consoles dropped I went back to 3 and never looked back (forward)

      • Glad to hear itt got fixed, it never did for PS4 which did my head in cos I sunk many hours in before every five or six hours it would crash completely and I would lose my saved progress.

Choppy graphics too, which is what you alluded to with the blowing up bases. Wish I could go back to 3 but will see

  • These games gave me the worst motion sickness. I had to refund them

  • Thanks. I got JC4 a while back on epic but could never get it to work on the deck. I heard the steam version works so will pick it up

I prefer 3. 4 was disappointing unless it got patched after release. I only played it for a few weeks after launch.

  • Such a fun series!!
