I am looking to buy either XBOX Kinect or PS3 Move for my family.
XBOX Kinect has a decent deal at harvey norman.
Xbox 360 4GB Console With Kinect + Kinect Adventures + Kinect Sports + COD:MW3 Bundle
for #318.

I couldn't find a similar deal for PS3.
The only option is to buy the two seperately,
New Sony PS3 12GB + Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Bundle for $258 &
PS3 Move Starter Pack for $78

The only place where I could find a PS3 bundle is BIGW for $404. A lot pricier when compared to XBOX.
S3 PlayStation 3 12GB Console with Sports Champions 2 and Move Starter Kit

PS3 is a bit costlier and has less games. But after doing some research looks like PS3 is the better one of the two.
Please advice if I can go for buying PS3 and the starter pack or should I settle for XBOX. Thanks a lot for your inputs.
Xbox vs PS3 is a much of a muchness nowadays. Most big titles are released on both, and there are only a few must have exclusives for each.
PS3 plays blue rays, if you need a player. I much prefer xbox's interface/ menu system/ online integration, though Xbox live does cost if you see online play as something you'll use.
As far as Move vs Kinect, whilst Move is probably more accurate, there are not many games out for it and it requires multiple controllers. Kinect on the other hand has a myriad of games of varying quality levels, with a few gems that stand out.
How old are various members of the family? Kinect is a scream with younger kids, but older kids / parents probably will tire of it quickly.
