Gentle reminder that this dislodges food (half the job of flossing), but does nothing for scraping plaque off the sides of your teeth, where they touch or face each other. That's the other, and more important, half of flossing.
I previously bought one of these from shaver shop and tried it and then flossed after finding im still dislodging food from between my teeth, this was also using higher settings. Waste of money
I've used water flossers and they are very good for secondary washing (you will still need to use a physical floss).
HOWEVER, do NOT use it on the any strong or high settings as this can actually make your teeth really sensitive. I do not yet know the cause I don't think this is harsh enough to abrase gums nor enamel. But yeah after using these for several months, my teeth started hurting in the in-between areas.
But if you use this in the soft or mild settings, then it's really good at that extra flushing of microparticles between your teeth and guarantees healthier teeth and gums overall.
I've used mine on high for years and no sensitivity issues, it might be a you problem.
My particular water pik on high settings is a strong jet so maybe that's why.
I have the same one, not this travel one, I used mine on 10 with no issues.
Would recommend for people with braces.
Save your money and get a decent japanese electronic bidet.
Paid $149 a few months ago. Over priced water jet sprayer.
