Automatic 20V Li-Ion Cordless Drill - $44 + Shipping

20

Kogan have $15 off their drill. I was going to buy one of these.
But I ended up putting a Sams Warehouse kit on back order for $40.

Seems like a pretty good drill to me.

  • is this a good brand?

I don't know any tradies that use this brand…

    • Its a mic no name with a brand name designed to confuse buyers. They also have lawnmowers at bigw

      • For a second I really thought it's Bosch.

    • It's a Kogan drill.
How many rotations should we expect, before the battery requires charging?

  • Seems like a pretty good drill to me.

    How can you tell?

    • 20V for $44 is great value.

it might be cheap, but you said it's a 'good drill'.

How can you tell it's good? I've never heard of this brand.

I bought a drill from Aldi a while back, it was cheap, but it was certainly not a good drill.
The chuck would wobble quite a bit when in use and made it hard to drill accurately. I ended up returning it for a refund.

        • Was this the 18V red cordless one from a couple of months back? We got one, and it's been fine but not had heaps of use. We had a few issues with it making grinding noises while turning… but we eventually found that it was just that it wasn't in gear properly (it often doesn't go in right)

        • It might be the same one, but i got it during an earlier sale about a year ago now… It was 18V

    • maybe from the spec:
      Performance
      Speed
      1300rpm
      Torque
      15Nm
      Power
      Battery Type
      1300mAh 20V Li-Ion

i not familiar with these thing but 15Nm seems low

  • What is an automatic drill? Confused carpenter here.

      no clutch

Nevermind. Automatic is the brand name.

  • Says it's $44.00 With Free Shipping

  • BigW had a 18volt Li-ion one for $39… bought one for my Dad :) Good for around the house jobs.

  • You won't be able to do much with this drill given it's low torque…. it will struggle so much that you will get the idea that cordless drills/ drivers are useless. As an example Bunnings sell cheap cordless drills with double the torque of this one, and if something breaks etc they will replace with new one on the spot. Also, cordless drills need to be designed for good balance and 'fit in your hand' and this one looks so bulky/ chunky/ heavy etc that you will not enjoy using it.
