½ Price: Weet-Bix 575g $2.20 or $2.40 @ IGA (Excl. TAS, NT)

200

Love these with a coating of honey dipped in milk.

I’ve checked a few catalogues and the price varies between stores: it’s either $2.20 or $2.40. Some stores don’t have a catalogue listed. YMMV, as is the nature of IGAs.

This special appears to be $2.45 at NT stores and some remote SA stores (e.g. Coober Pedy), and there is no special for this item in any catalogues for IGA TAS stores.

If you are stacking your weet-bix vertically, you're definitely on a watchlist…

    • All 3. Some in half too. You gotta have some poking out of the milk with a bit of wet sugar coating. Simply the best.

  • Weetbix, great marketing but trash like the rest of cereals.
In saying that I was eating it when I was a teen. All those ads with sports stars with theme how many weekbix they can do, and how much u can do.

      Why is it trash?

While I wouldnt say its healthy per say I don't think its as trash as the rest of cereals…

      For example:
      Kellogg's Nutri-Grain = 24% sugar.
      Kellogg's Special k Original = 13.9% sugar.
      Kellogg's Coco Pops = 32.3% sugar.
      Kellogg's Corn Flakes = 8.9% sugar.

      Vs

      Weet - Bix Breakfast = 3% sugar.

Personally, I've been having more and more of it tbh as an aid to help lose some weight (down almost 6kg :D) and also because is stupid cheap / meal (when on sale ofc).

Also notable, I have sensitive teeth, cant eat any of the above and not be in pain but with weetbix I don't have any issues !

This is an interesting article, wherein a dietician ranks popular cereal based on nutritional value. Apparently All Bran is good too, despite having more sugar. Unsurprisingly rolled oats are considered good also

        • oh 100%, gotta have that fibre!

  • Sliced banana goes great with these!
