Product Description

This affordable inflatable Sport Kayak is as lightweight and portable as it gets, yet still remarkably stable and durable. It weighs just 32 lbs. and packs down small enough to fit in the smallest car trunk. Don't let the light weight fool you. It's a rugged kayak rated to hold 3 people or 650 lbs. However, it's best-suited space wise to accommodate two persons.

Fits two adults.

This is the most popular package for America's favorite inflatable kayak. Two movable Deluxe Kayak Seats with stow pouches provide better back support & 5" high seating.

      Kings:

      Drop-Stitch Core
Inflate the floor compartment to 8-10psi and the sides to 4.5psi

I prefer an inflatable kayak with higher PSI floor (mine has 7psi) but depends on your use.

Kings also looks like it has a separate floor layer to the drop-stitch core - would need to check this though.
So if you get a hole in the outer floor, it might not cause the core to deflate. Also easy to patch with some tape.

Seems to have a drain plug which I use quite often.

Then again, maybe others prefer a kayak with a soft floor?

      • Comment here about the floor https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16164460/redir

The floor on mine are scratched up from sharp sea shells and going over rocks - no problems, the floor is just a thick outer layer to the inner core.
Possibly this is what Kings has - but need to check.

  • soft bottom.

Thanks but what about the kayak?

  • Funny as I'm in the market for one to go with wife or daughter and looked at these earlier today!

Viking 2+1 with the extras from marketplace for $500 and risk having to store it in garden or clogging up garage or this cheapy inflatable!!?

    • Becareful of oyster shells. Had one and paddled through an oyster bed accidentally. You can guess what happened.

Luckily I was able to get to shore before it sunk.

Will never get one of these again.

You can do better. I see 2 seater kayaks come up on marketplace all the time for $100. I got mine for $60 and purchased life jackets, seats, oars & carrier for another $100. I always see sit on top kayaks at my local river but never inflatables so that sort of made that decision for me.

      • Yea not seeing many inflatables made me hold off too. Been watching for a while and where I am 350 been the lowest. Also don't want to end up using once and large object. Clogging garage etc

        • +1

Some of the inflatables have a thick outer floor and high pressure (drop-stitch) removable inner floor.
Mine have survived getting dragged across sharp shells and rocks - and multi-day river/camping trips.

Don't take up much space in the garage and easy to put in the car boot or beach trolley.
Unfortunately the drop stitch floor ones usually cost more.

If you go inflatable, make sure to get the Ozito portable inflator from Bunnings. Makes life easier

      https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-high-volu…

      • Yea have a dometic inflator for the zempire tent etc

    • This is a much better idea, if you don't like your wife or daughter and you can swim really well.

I would not trust this in a pond, let alone the sea.

Inflatable kayak goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark.

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies…
