I have been looking for a decent portable blender, the last Temu one was cr@p, this has good reviews from what I have read - lowest price according to the Camels https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0C7QCQ283?context=se…

Got for a similar price and use it every 2nd day. Works as expected and a great blender to use in the road as I’m often travelling between sites.
Same here lots of time in out of the way locations for work, just need to blend protein mix with frozen fruits.
It’s ok but not as good as BlendJet. BlendJet is a little more forgiving if you don’t add as much of the liquid first.
First couple of results on google mentions a recent recall and a reddit post about them deleting negative reviews ….
Correct, I’ve had my BlendJet recalled due to some issue with the blade. Never actually had a problem but it was recalled nonetheless. Purchased the Ninja whilst waiting 11 month for a replacement (yep, 11 months)… Ninja does the job but the blade isn’t as good as the BlendJet. All in all, they are both “ehh” products, but convenient and much quieter than the Jet engines of your conventional blenders.
Wow same as me and yes it took aaaaaages for the replacement but I found the ninja to be fine and on par with the blend jet.
I thought the BlendJet was a bit crap. My smoothies would always end up in the rubber bit of the cap and was hard to get out. I got the NutriBullet one instead and it's a bit better, larger capacity, and it has a lid to drink out of. I think it's the same or similar motor to the BlendJet though.
how easy are these to clean?
put water and detergent in it and blitz it.. thats what i do
Very easy. Easy enough to clean just taking off the lid but base can also come off.
Temu? Crap? Surely not….
This one is not temu. It's a Canadian brand. (There may be a temu variant for $2)
Indeed. However if you read the OP, you'll note the reference to Temu crap.
Can it crush cubes of ice, can you make a blended iced coffee with it?
It does I use it to crush ice cubes with my smoothies
Need around 900W to crush ice with 1100W being the recommended. This one is way less than 900W and therefore may disappoint.
It can fit four ice cubes in its 18oz jar and does a passable job of crushing them, although it always leaves unprocessed chunks behind.
This one is way less than 900W
Specs say 151W so about ⅙ the power. Better than the 50W anko one.
Not sure about that one because there's a different one with a model code of 151W while one has a suffix model code of 100Wh
I do this. Find that shaking the unit while it’s blending helps crush the ice.
I use a different anko kmart one every day for mixing protein/meal replacement shakes, but not sure I'd use it as a "blender" to crush solids
Would have been good if you could use an extraction cup with it.
Why do you need a portable blender?
Convenience
Protein/ egg/ fruit smoothies during a camp, travel, away from home, etc. - when electrical points are a challenge to find, and the normal bulky blenders are a nuisance to carry around.
Because if you blend something at home and drink it at lunch, sometimes the liquid seperates, the ice melts and becomes diluted. Tastes weird.
Smoothies taste best when blended and drank immediately.
Any good recommendation for a portable blender that’s 600ml to 1litre?
For Smoothies (frozen fruits) including ice crushing?
Any portable coffee grinders?
Nah its not battery operated.
K trust y'all, im biting
Thanks got one for the missus.

Arriving tomorrow seems okay! :~)
Lucky for you.
Shows for me approx 2-3 weeks.
I don't understand all these comments: '…you need 900w or more to crush ice…'
I've been using the same cheap Kmart 200w magic bullet to crush ice & frozen bananas in smoothies for about 6 years.
Maybe a kmart 200w is the same as a Temu 900w?
Is my ice crushed differently?
What am I missing? Can I pour hot water in it for hot chocolate- cacao chunks/flakes and then blend or is this a recipe for a short life???
Don’t know but sounds yum.
Also Blue and White.
